In BIOGAS application, hydrogen sulfide require much more attention due to it corrosiveness
to certain type of metal or plastic parts, thus special type of material in used for field
instrument or method of reducing the hydrogen sulfide concentration is required to prevent
damage or failure causes to the field instrument or gas engine generator.

Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) gas by itself is a colorless, very poisonous, corrosive agent and
classified as flammable gas having an explosive limit between 4.5% - 46%vol

BIOGAS contains fractions of water vapor as well; combination of hydrogen sulfide with
water vapor forming corrosive sulfuric acid (H2SO4).

BIOLYSIS Biogas analysis system, designed and built to prolong the life span of the
equipment functioning by selection right component considering component market
availability and best possible material in used considering to both hydrogen sulfide and weak
sulfuric acid reaction.

The technologies in used to measure the Methane and Carbon Dioxide is NDIR, the best
possible low cost technologies available comparing using expensive technologies like FID
detector for methane analysis; NDIR technologies having a weakness to measure accurate if
present of water vapor due to wave length absorption greater than any other measured
gases. Care is required by removing the water vapor to minimal possible in order for the
analyzer measure accurately.

In cases where hydrogen sulfide or oxygen measurement is require, BIOLYSIS offering
inexpensive electrochemical cell or partial sensor technology (Oxygen only).

BIOLYSIS system complete with sample filter probe taking care of possible present of
particulate in the pipe line as well as isolation valve, purge port for purging or portable unit
insertion port and pressure relief valve in event overpressure.

BIOLYSIS System equips with ventilation system, fire extinguisher, safety awareness
labeling and gas detector as standard package for safety purposes in the event of internal
gas leakage or possible of fire may happen.
