1.0 GENERAL:

Copy of Approved Building Plans for this development shall be submitted.
1.2 Hazards of contents and processes shall be classified by the Registered
Design Professional (RDP) or owner and submitted to QCDD for review and
approval on the basis of the character of the contents and the processes or
operations conducted in the building or structure. These shall be kept in the
drawings. The type of required fire protection system is dependent on the
contents of the building.
Essentials
1.3 Submit copy of approved plan (from WOQOD) for the installation of LPG
tanks near Dried Sludge Treatment Switch Room. Clarify why fire
suppression system were not installed in the LPG Gas Tank Area. For this
case, high risk analysis report shall be submitted.

1.4 Uploaded drawing shall have file name or drawing title to enable us to
navigate through the drawings easier and quicker especially on large complex
building and structures.

1.5 Delete the Fire Protection System in the drawing title and replace it with
FIRE FIGHTING PLAN.

2 FIRE PROTECTION PLAN:
2.1 FIRE FIGHTING:
2.1.1 QCD FSS 6.7 requires that all fire pumps installations must be designed to
operate under the conditions of loss of primary power source and mechanical
failure. A fire pump installation comprising a duty electric motor driven pump
with a standby diesel engine driven pump is deemed to satisfy this requirement.
Fire pump configuration for this case shall be revised. Please show the location
of the fire pump room in the site plan and provide a separate drawing layout
for such fire pumpset to indicate the capacity, ratings, listing and components
as required in NFPA 20 and QCD approval.

2.1.2
In DWG K654_402_02_0014_0_DC2, please include the necessary details as
specified in QCD FSS 2.10 Fire Protection Water Supplies, show the
calculation for the effective capacity of the fire water storage tank. Please furnish
also sectional and elevation plan with dimensions to demonstrate the effective
capacity of fire water storage tank in accordance with NFPA Standards and to
satisfy QCD approval. Please submit this revised drawing for verification.

2.1.3
For sprinkler system protected facilities, please indicate in all related drawings the
necessary details specified in Chapter 22 of NFPA 13 to satisfy your design and
QCD approval. Please provide and show in the drawings the details indicated
in Item 22.1.3 in NFPA 13 to satisfy QCD approval.

2.1.4
Hydraulic calculation to verify fire pump capacity and water requirements of
the system shall be submitted. Please consider the following in selecting the
flow and pressure requirements:
a. The minimum flow and pressure requirements for private fire
hydrants shall be in accordance with QCD FSS 4.4. Calculation for
the pressure requirements for most remote hydrants shall be
submitted.
b. Calculation for the pressure requirements for most remote area of
sprinkler and most remote hose reel in workers accommodation shall
be submitted also.
c. Submit also hydraulic calculation for water demand and pressure
requirements of sprinklers in dried sludge storage building. Please
submit design criteria for this calculation.
d. Isometric diagram with node number and necessary dimensions to
support the calculations shall be shown.

2.1.5 For sprinkler protected warehouse, please provide the section elevation details of
the roof orientation incorporating the location of the sprinkler system and
showing the storage rack arrangement to fully understand the design and comply
with NFPA 13. Not submitted, please provide.

2.1.6 Isolating control valves/indicating valves shall be provided with supervisory
switches connected to fire alarm control panel. All valves controlling connections
to water supplies and supply to sprinkler pipes shall be listed indicating valves.
Please indicate on drawings that type of gate valves utilized for the firefighting
system must be OS&Y type. Please show/indicate this in the site plan drawing
layout.

2.1.7
Emergency generators located within main plant structures should be
protected by automatic sprinkler, water spray, foam-water sprinkler, or
gaseous-type extinguishing systems in accordance with Item 29.3.5.1.3 of
NFPA 5000 and NFPA 850 respectively.

2.1.8
Substations and switchyards located at the generating facility and utilizing
combustible oilfilled equipment should be protected by the yard fire hydrant
system. Provide fire hydrant near Substation H.

In DWG K654_406_02_4024_0_DC2, Fire Hose Reel(FHR) must be located in
close proximity to the entrance/exit door and such that the coverage of each FHR
must be no more than 30M excluding its throw. Please revise accordingly. Not
submitted, please provide.

In DWG K654_406_02_4024_0_DC2, please indicate the type of cooking
equipment used in the Kitchen Area. Kitchen equipment using deep fryer and hot
plate must be provided with adequate kitchen suppression system, please verify
