Mission:
Mirman School is passionately committed to the education of highly gifed children.
Philosophy:
We are dedicated to academic excellence; the social, emotional, and physical development of the
student; depth, complexity, and diferentiation tailored to each students needs and abilities; and
developing creatively productive and ethical world citizens.
1
A Message from the Head of School
I want to first so kindly thank the entire Mirman
community for welcoming me to Los Angeles.
A modern school geared for success and innovative
growth requires a foundation of integrity, expertise,
and courage that supports the hard work and passionate
dedication of its students, teachers, and parents.
From my early perspective, I am pleased to report
that Mirman School has just that type of foundation.
We are very fortunate.
Informed by Dr. Norman and Mrs. Beverly Mirmans founding vision, Mirman School will maintain a focus on
creating an infrastructure that nurtures our students and prepares them for a world that is changing at an
increasingly rapid and sophisticated pace. Our mark on future generations depends on the work we do today.
Tat work is not always easy, but it is forever worthwhile. Fortunately, the groundwork has been laid and our
overall vision deepened. I look forward to ensuring that the future we imagine for Mirman School becomes reality.
Open and honest collaboration with all Mirman constituents will be a critical component of this process and I
invite you to contact me to discuss our plans. Te following Annual Report is a continuing testament to all those
who came before me.
Dan Vorenberg
2
A Message from the Board Chair
In the coming months, as we begin to formulate our Strategic and Campus Master Plans, we will have the
opportunity to dream, discuss, and distill our hopes and aspirations for Mirmans next chapter. Te dedication to
mission that permeates our community will serve as a guidepost in this process and will ensure that we remain
the gold standard for highly gifed education. Our insatiably curious, creative, and talented students deserve no
less. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I thank you for your heartfelt commitment to Mirman and look forward
to joining you as we celebrate its continued successes.
Tis past year, as Mirman celebrated its 50th anniversary,
we welcomed our new Head of School, Dan Vorenberg. In a
relatively brief period of time, Dan has infused the Mirman
community with a sense of energy, purpose, and vision and
sparked our excitement about Mirmans untapped potential.
As a Mirman parent for the past 17 years, I, like you, can
attest to the wonders of a Mirman education and the
profound impact it has had on my sons and on my family.
I am so proud to be a part of its past and feel fortunate to be
one of the many voices in helping to shape its future.
