Thailand

Thailand is a small country at the south of Asia with Laos,


Myanma and Cambodia bordering it. With a population of 97
million. The main religion is Buddhism and there capital city is
Bangkok. Their leader is King Bhumibol Adulyadej. They speak
their own Thai language. Their flag has the couloirs red, white
and blue. The red stands for the blood to maintain Thailands
freedom, the white stands for the couloir of Buddhism and
the blue is the national couloir. Their currency is the Thai
Baht.
Language
The official language of Thailand is Thai but because of all the
tourists English has naturally become a second language to
the people of Thailand as so for lots of other languages.
Religion
The main religion for the people of Thailand is Buddhism but
there is a small percentage of the Thai people that believe in
Christianity and some other religions
Government
The prime minister of Thailand is Niwathamrong
Boonsongpaisan since 2007
Thailands government has been democratic and now it is a
stable government. Their currency is the Thai Baht.
Food
A famous food is Khao niao. It is a sticky rice eaten as a staple
food both in the northeast as in the north of Thailand it is
traditionally steamed.
Climate
The climate in Thailand is tropical with a mean annual
temperature of 28 degrees C and high humidity there are
three distinct seasons- the hot season from March to May.
The cool season from November to February and the rainy
season from about June to October.


Tourism
Big Attractions
Two of the big attractions in Thailand
are Koh Tao or Turtle Island located
on the eastern shore of Thailand.
Ko phi phi it is located in south
Thailand it is the largest island in
Thailand and is surrounded with blue
water.
Where do tourists come from?
Tourists used to come mostly from other
countries but now most tourists come from China.
Positive effects on tourism
The positive effects on tourists in Thailand is that
they make money from all the tourists coming
there for their attractions.
Negative effects on tourism
The negative effects on tourism in Thailand are
with all the tourists coming it is wrecking all there
natural attractions.
Relationship with Australia on tourism
Thousands Australians go to Thailand for
holydays and there have been a lot of deaths by
teenagers because of the rate of alcohol there.

Border Police
Thailand has their own border police for all the
people coming to their country.
Police force
The royal Thai police force which was formed in
1933 and is originally located in Bangkok.

Infant Mortality Rate
The infant mortality rate is 11 deaths out of 1000
births.
Medical Care
They have a secure medical care and supplies
most like other countrys but you will find the best
medical care in the richest places like Bangkok.
Trade
Primary industries
The primary industries in Thailand are fishing,
mining for tin and the fine arts.
Main employment
The main employment in Thailand is Agriculture
Manufacturing. Agriculture includes Rice as a
main product and Manufacturing cars and
Computers to export.
Average wage
Wages in Thailand increased to 13237.76 baht in
the third quarter of 2014 from 12772.47 in the
first quarter.
Main imports and where do they come from
Most of Thailands imports are Gold, gas, vehicle
parts and petroleum. Most of their imports come
from Japan, China US, Malaysia and South Korea.
Main exports and where do they go to
Most of Thailand exports are computers, rubber,
trucks and gold. They mostly come from china,
japan, US, Malaysia and Indonesia.
