Introduction
Rakyat didahulukan, Pencapaian di utamakan. That is jargon of 1 Malaysia
which would be a strength transformed, make into progress country, supported by
integrating society and also a good reputation coming from the entire world. For show
Malaysian that has ability to face kind of problem that involved by globalization flow
in social. Economics, and political. So, the minister Dato Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak
introduced 1 Malaysia Concept Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan.
This concept is coincident with feeling of Malaysia citizen and parallel with allotment
in Perlembagaan Persekutuan and The Principle of state. Dato Sri Mohd Najib Bin
Tun Hj Abd Razak as a Prime Minister of Malaysia is stated that

1 Malaysia is concerned with an idea to cultivate and integrate the number of
society based on main values that should be a duty for each Malaysian. This concept
is not the new that separated from Kerajaan Barisan Nasional before but this is as a
complement which has been providing to more cultivate in order to ensure Malaysia
stabilization . In other word, 1 Malaysia is a concept which assist to ensure state
aspirations in order to reach out wawasan 2020 (stated that the main requisite to be
a progress country must be form a solid unit among their citizens.

A. Definition
a) General definition about 1 Malaysia
The event which Malaysia, consisting of several race and ethnicity
change their mind and act to come together into the real great
Malaysia, peacefully, progressively, and also can be able to look ahead
and face the globalization.
b) 1 Malaysia Concepts
1 Malaysia is an on-going program designed by Malaysian Prime
Minister Najib Tun Razak on 16 September 2010, calling for the
cabinet, government agencies, and civil servants to more strongly
emphasize ethnic harmony, national unity, and efficient governance.
The concept of 1 Malaysia is not the new concept but this is a
government concept which operated the duty of leaders with a good
performance, fully commitment and responsibility especially for the
prosperity people.
1 Malaysia is one of the continued-improvement to construct
Malaysia. In order to reach out national progressivity prior to the
society must be progressed firstly. That is starting from creating open-
minded society. This would be drove to national integrity. If the
national integrity has on hand, national development can perform
automatically.
1 Malaysia Concept strives for each citizens and leaders to play their
role each others. We stand, think, and act as a Malaysia is implied that there
are so many race, ethnicity, religion who have to think through the border of
each group. They also have to create some action which passed over the
interest of race and ethnic.
c) 3 Basic Principles of 1 Malaysia
There are three basic principles of 1 Malaysia to reinforce national
association, as follow:
1. Acceptance Principle
Means that although Malaysian has their own way of life, practice,
and different culture but they accept them as a best friends
2. National Principle
Unity concept, nationalism, and loving commitment to country
have realized since former leader did.
3. Social justice Principle
Each of communities in this country is given a justice as well as
possible regardless viewed education, religion background.
d) Values In 1 Malaysia
1. BUDAYA KECEMERLANGAN
Realization of Budaya Cemerlang which has performance will
bring Malaysia to the success level with a high-end achievement.
Success and achievement of nation are depending on how long the
advantage of culture can be realized by its society. This culture
should be conducted continuously with performance priority as the
measuring of achievement level.
Other countries will recognize Malaysia as a country that put in the
front of quality and accuracy within every sector particularly on
world trade system.
2. FIRMNESS
Every struggle is need to be firmness and diligence. To reach a
success, the nation need to have a leader and its society who able
to endure some barrier.
Malaysian must be able to face negative assumptions and
challenges for the national success. Keep fighting to be a work
harder, dedication and ability to endure every barrier are the best
way to achieve goal. The firmness with facing change ourselves
can be made as a place to introspection our fault on the previous.
3. HUMBLE
Humble is the most important characteristic that we have. Humble
is also taught in Islam likewise culture and characteristic of malay who
appreciate humble people. Thoughtful and a good communicate are
needed to realize all day long. Humble is not like we have to do what
people says or give in with anyone. All of the ability which we have are
not need to show up with another way that people dont like it. But
humble based on context and condition where do you stand are
Submit to ones fate, disappointed and easy to give up must be removed if
we want to be success. To handle failure, the unique approaches are
needed to take for producing much more awesome changes. A great spirit,
have a strength opinions must be aware because of it for reaching self-
successful, society and nationality.
Malaysia people are loving simplicity, internal strength, commit.
Wherever we stand or have business with society outside, we have to
belief with our capabilities reflecting as a Malaysia people without
harshness anymore.
4. ACCEPTANCE
Acceptance and tolerance are both different either express or practice.
Acceptance will show a positive treatment to full accept something
sincerely without compulsion while tolerance is an attitude that can
understand each other with all of differences.
Malaysia needs people who can accept a good something and can
cooperate each other. Accepting all of ethnic group for getting a great
achievement is needed to develop this nation. A good thing from
Malays, Chinese, Indian and others must be realized and got acceptance
from this country.
Every programs and budget allocation from the government have to
distribute fairly comprehensively based on necessity without restriction,
stratification society, ethnic groups, religion and political affiliation.
All of the opportunity such as education, scholarship, financial
donation and project distribution is necessary to fair process reflected
1Malaysia necessity. Developing its self without considering gender
and ethnic background is preferred to decide by individual interest and
ability.
5. LOYALITY
The principle of loyal is necessary anytime including loyal to King
and country. The second principle, Rukun Negara must hold tightly by
citizen.
All of the ethnic must put the loyal as a priority and overcome the
loyal to group self. Loyalty to a leader is the point of authority,
strength, success and excellence. The follower have to show their
loyalty to its leader because the separated-organization and unloyalty
to their leader would be broken. The loyalty also will grow up trust
and get in touch with others. The strength relationship through loyalty
must be conducted by honesty, sincere toward the good relation with
friends, family, and the leader.
Any suggestion and advice which improve have to accept in
the relation for ensuring success. Give a critical opinion correctly is
the symbol of solidarity. Critic on development strength attempt must
be conducted thoughtful in order to the weaknesses and the faults can
be repaired for benefit together. A leader who lead organization is
needed to put far away the arrogance, reject any suggestions that the
people sent to him.
Loyalty must be include with the ability to do excellence assignment.
Values or loyalty appreciation have to base on the capability,
performance and the continuous improvement. The relationship which
blinded without progressing is not valuable. The relationship which
bases on encouragement must avoid in order to dont abuse by the
took-opportunity person.
6. MERITOKRASI
Meritokrasi is a way which have to realize to national democracy
for ensuring them who be eligible and qualified would be give an
opportunity to accelerate nation al development.

On the particular situation, there is an unlucky party or retard
whose settled in the rural, so the real estate and the new village are
become the government responsible to assist them. Meritokrasi
emphasizes the competition fairly based on the criteria that have
decided before and who can be fulfilled that criteria as a result that
can choose.
To realize the meritokrasi principle, the election based on
performance and the excellence culture would be maximized the
potential of Malaysia on the entire sectors. In the supplying of
government, the selection of enterprises for offering a contract made
by open-tender and the success enterprise have to fulfill some criteria
that have decided. The selection of enterprises, developer, services,
consultant etc is realized through the competition which centered to
people who competed can prove each potential and gives more good
price tag, product, services and result that have promised before. The
meritokrasi principle cultivated Malays within facing some challenges
in the globalization.
7. EDUCATION
Knowledge and education is the pre requisite for each
countries to reach success. The strength and defense is based on the
educated society to maintain the military strength. The country is
necessary to have society who put education into the priority than
others. The country is really progressed and succeed if its society have
the highest knowledge that they have.
8. INTEGRITY
Integrity is important thing for the government to get trust and
belief from its society. This value must practice by whole the society
not only by society but also the leader regardless the position. Honesty
and trusteeship are the way to act and get converse. Talk the truth is
more appreciate than the fake.


Objectives
1 Malaysia is aimed to defense and improve unity within diversity
which during the time become Malaysia strength and would be looked
after as a good supply to face the challenges in the future. Likewise, 1
Malaysia is purposed to spread the national pride among the Malaysia
society. This objectives can reach by forming acceptance characterized
among them. When the integrity has reached out, the development of
country would be running well fluently.
B. Distinguishing between 1 Malaysia and Malaysian Malaysia
Based on the 1 Malaysia concepts as discussed above, 1 Malaysia has the
differences, as follows:
1 Malaysia is an idea in order to synchronize its society with several
ethnic without changing their identity. Malaysian Malaysia is also a
principle which wanted to fail the principle of society. Justification
which Malaysia did on Malaysia Malaysian concept is taken randomly
with taking a total version of suitable concept. Either looking after the
interest of society or the establish of Malaysia nation.
Malaysian Malaysia is only limited to the right of suitable without
considering reality and history of Malaysia. The integrity which
described by 1 Malaysia idea is different from assimilation concept
which practiced in another country which is ethnic identity erased and
change with the one same identity. On the other hand, 1 malaysia
appreciated and respected federal constitutional principles and Malays
ethnic identity and also assume as a asset which necessary to be pride
of them.
1 malaysia emphasized acceptance to the society which are the society
can accept the uniquely them so that they can live together on
respecting as a citizenship in one nation.
Conclusion
Actually, all of the people in Malaysia is necessary to base the main
principle of 1 malaysia that is togetherness and sense of belonging. 1 malaysia
concept brought many aspiration for strong the relationship among the society
in order to ensure society of Malaysia can compose the unity more tightly
than before as revealed on Rukun Negara. The point of view that needed to
realize on solidarity spirit is to be respect, trust among the society. The society
have to understand and practice all of the action which is interested by the
nation.
All of the society is needed to assume who they are Malaysia whose
everything is enjoyed together. Malaysia is our nation, there is no one that
will edge from this country. This values hoping can integrate Malaysia society
with idea and action which pointed of one aim that is to nation. Through this
concept, there is no dissatisfaction because everyone is Malaysia and
Malaysia society who have one way to progress this country.
Founding the nation for country like Malaysia is the most important
thing in era globalization which perhaps flowing free and fast. It is not only
information, equity and human but also system, values, cultures and belief
from the several countries. The ability to develop nation is depending on
integrity, ability, dedication and loyalty.
