CHAPTER-1

INTRODUCTION

FAAC India Pvt. Ltd is a direct subsidiary of FAAC S.p. A. Italy, pioneers and
leaders in the field of perimeter automation and parking management systems.

With its mission being that of providing world class products and services at most
competitive prices to the Indian infrastructure industry, FAAC India carries on the
standards set by FAAC Group, by using the path breaking technologies at all stages of
deliverances. FAAC India has taken strong initiatives in the field of delivering quality
through timely service, efficient technical support, constant upgrades in technology
and customized solutions to suit customer requirements, to their delight.

FAAC India is proud to be amongst the first such organization in the country to
represent overseas entrance automation and parking management system.


1.1 About FAAC India


In 1965, we introduced hydraulics in the gate opening sector, and through the
years, we have perfected this technology, adapting it to a multiplicity of needs.
Today, FAAC automated systems satisfy both Intensive use- just think of the
millions of maneuvers per year of motorway barriers- and Economic use, as in the
case of the 402 residential swing gate operator.
We began making our own electronic equipment at the end of the Eighties: these
include control equipment, radio controls, as well as safety and signaling systems.
FAAC is always a step ahead in electronics too: we were the first to use
microprocessors in control units, SMT technology as well as simplified self-
learning in radio controls.

1.3A stringent Quality Control

Qualityis the bottom-line of FAAC's philosophy. In February 1996, FAAC
obtained UNI EN ISO 9001 certification. Having the certificate means we have
taken on a continuing commitment to achieve increasingly ambitious client-
satisfaction aims, by producing at competitive prices within planned time. All
FAAC equipments are in accordance to the CE standards and manufactued with
the ISO 9001 quality standards
