Please send along with this form copies of recommendations from churches which will encourage
other churches to support your missionary work. There are churches which will not allow a
visiting missionary to speak unless a church recommendation can be shown. Since it is impos
sible for any one person to know all Christians in the world, this recommendation by a respon
sible New Testament church is a vital help in persuading others of your worthiness and the value
of your mission. Mission Services stands ready to help you inform HORIZONS readers about
your church recommendations. Since the church is sending you to the mission field (Acts 13:1-3)
and will help provide the necessary needs on the field, naturally the church should share the
credit in your missionary ministry. One of the ways that the church can do this is to share their
conviction regarding your missionary ministry with others. Certainly, their words will help
convince others regarding the worthiness of your work. Please help MKSION SERVICES to
spread your news through HORIZONS, Packets and Slide library by sending your church recom
mendations as soon as possible. Thanks. Send what you have now, and the others later.

What things influenced you to become a missionary? What is your purpose? What do you hope
to accomplish on the mission field? Your own story in some detail might be influential in leading
others into fulltime service (Use an extra sheet if you need more space);
We are going to the Chilean Mission field because of the influence of
our missionary friends as they challenged us with the need and the great
opportunities for serving that were going begging upon every field in
this wcrid. We feel an intense desire to fulfill the Gre t Commission.
In this manner we will be obedient to the commands of our blessed Saviour.
Charles Holland, retired Marine Colonel who served overseas inChile
told us that he saw no churdhes in the great cities of Chile. When le
consider the recent population explosion we face the realization that
Santiago and Valparaiso there are some TWO MILLION SOULS DYING withmt
Saviour. The Word of God must be preached that it may ascomplishtoat
whereunto God hath sent it. We*ll use Radio, Correspondence Courses,
"Jtef-Sliiy duties on the field;
Prayer will ooen and close our day. We expect it will mix aniinter
mingle with ever waking moment and activity, God willirig we will give a
part of each morniag to preparation and presentation of Radio preaching.
Translation of Materials for Corresponcjence Courses, and mailing ad grading
will r^ire time. (They ha e some 700 enrollees in Brazil). When some one
shows a vital interest in studying God's word we will personally contact
that one. The Spirit ofGod leading we will use this contact as a "steppjrg
stone" toward the planting of a congregation of Christians.

The Holy Spirit turned our attention to annther part of the world, and inevitably
to Chile. When A. B. KcReynolds, W, E, McGilvrey, Bertrand Smith and retired
Mirine Colonel, Charles HoUani encouraged our decision we felt greatly strengthened
in our desire to preach the gospel of Christ in Chile,
HOW MIGHTILY MOVES THE ARM OF GODI That which became a compelling idea in our mind
has now assumed form and reality. We have presented our plans to six different con
gregations in the greater Atlanta area.
Through July 15, 1965 God has blessed our efforts exceedingly. In the space of one
calendar month we have eighty three(83) PRAYER PARTNERS committed to PRAY for our plans
in the Chilean Christian Radio Mission. In this group are seventeen (17) that are
committed to LIVING LINK SUPPORT, All are individual ffifl'ers. Three congregations
have told us they will try to give some toward our LIVING LINK SUPPORT.
GOD HEARS AND ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS. A few days prior to Jioly 1 we asHed our PRAYER
PARTNERS to PRAY for a Volkswagen to use while we traveled to raise our support. On
Smday July 11 Phil and Harrieute Holder of the Mableton church told us we could use
their 62 VW until we left for Chile, PRAISE GOD FOR HELP HE SUPPLIES THROUGH HIS

We are concentrating upon the small gift bound up in many MANY PRAYERS. We encourage
the use of the FAITH PROMISE plan of Mission giving. We csn heartily recommend it to
any congre^tion that wi shes to do great things for God and for the cause of the
church of our Lord and Saviour. ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH; AND AS GOD PROSPERS YOU,
We need $600.00 per month for LIVING LINK SUPPORT and an additional $500,00 per month
for our Service link. The latter will be used to preach Christ'over the air and to
offer Bible Correspondence Ccurses. We are in need of Study courses in Spanish..
PERSONAL CONTACT will be made with those who show a vital concern for the truth in
God's Testament to mankind. In this way we will be able to plant the church in new
areas that have not been reached with the message of Christ. If it be in God's will
we PRAY that this may grow into a Christian Bible Institute.

of Chile and the Beasleys. We were to sail on the Gulf

Visa was not cleared in time for us to leave. We
applied for an Immigrant Visa so we could take needed
AND PREACHt supplies into Chile for the missionaries. We know now
that this Visa is authorized only in Santiago. Also we
were supposed to have six months support on deposit with the Chilean Consulate.
We also needed an extra Medical Certificate. Two trips to the Chilean Consul
ate in New Orleans stnd a letter containing the law from Gale Smith in Chile
bring this to our attention. Not until Gale's letter came did we have an
inkling of why the delay.
SEND THE BEASLEYS TO CHILE.
Bertrand Smith's letter of Nov. 23 states, "A situation has arisen whiph makes
it extra urgent that you get to Chile as soon as possible. A door has opened
in Valleneur, about half way between Valparaiso and Antofagasta, whereby we
have the opportunity of taking over a work where there is already a nice

WE NEED $3,000.00 to set up residence in Chile..This will furnish us living

estimate. Concrete block construction.
WE NEED Churches, individuals, and groups, to set aside sacrificial gifts

A teen age PRAYER PARTNER writes, "I am I'f... I do good to pay my tithes every
Sunday. Even though I cannot send you money, I will be praying for you." With
youngsters like this, America jstill can hope. A minister writes, "I am praying
that God will bless and provide for your needs, and at our next meeting we
will discuss this matter." God depends upon these kind of people tadoHis will.

MEET OUR SPONSOR CHURCH
Antioch Christian Church, south of Bick-oi;y^ ipfiaissippi-let me preach my first
sermons as a Christian amonfr Christians, even before I had entered Bible
Collei?e* Brother GP, Wilson, who ministers; here is the mem I call my father
in the Gospel.
Antioch is a sturdy rural church with attendance in the low eighties. They
have an outstanding Faith Mission Program which more than doubles their current
local expenses. Interesting enough, I have never seen an offering plate passed
at church services.
Their September and October Mission giving exceeded S800.00 going to Memphis
Christian College^ Bonafacio Galvan; Stanley Buttray in Japan; Kiamichi Moun
tain Mission; Chilean Christian Mission; Aubrey Payne in the Bahamas; and
Cookson Hills. ...
They have built and presently maintain Hidden Haven Bible Camp. At the moment
they plan enlarging the Camp. They encourage the cooperation of the area
churches in this Camp Program.
Y 6u can truly say, "the sun never sets upon the influence of their faith and
monies." Someone is working for Christ twenty-four hours each day. MAY THEIR

LIVING LINK SUPPORT
SEND THE BEASLEYS TO CHILE. The Chilean Consul tells us that there mUst be
tangible evidence of our financial support. Please help us overcome this
obstacle that prevents our travel to Chile. '
$^05.00 came to us from our Living Link Supporters during November. A number
of chxirches, individuals and groups have made promises biit have not yet sent
any monetary support. We thank God for your gifts that have reached uS. I can
think of two churches and four individual promises that'>would have put us over
the $500.00 mark. PLEASE PRAY about this and help God'ahswer your prayer.

PRAYER is the key, Jesus Christ says, "If ye abide,in me^, and my words abide

abides in Christ and PRAYS is successful.
DOUBLE AND TRIPLE MISSION GIVING .
The simplest way is thePAITH PROMISE PLAN OF MISSION GIVING. This plan is
elaborated in the Triumphant Missionary Ministry by Norman Lewis. It will
electrify you and shame you at the same time. The plan is a Scriptural plan.
Christian churches and churches of Christ are just now trying it. Not one
using it has failed to double or TRIPLE their mission giving. Rural churches:
