Sanjay Rath states: Argal means planetary/sign intervention.
- Every planet has the influence to control the affairs of every other
planet or house.
- Primary argala : planets, signs and upagraha etc. placed in the second,
fourth and eleventh house from any planet/sign have PRIMARY
ARGAL (direct intervention) in its affairs.
- planets, signs and Upagraha etc.) placed in the twelfth, tenth and third
houses cause VIRODHA ARGAL (Obstruction to Argal) on the
