Position

Associate Territory Manager (ATM)

Description

In this high-profile role, the Associate Territory Manager (ATM) will be a proactive member of a dynamic
sales and marketing team introducing a new and advanced technology and standard of care in critical
care neurological patient management. The ideal candidate will be a high-impact, self-motivated and
results-oriented individual desiring to establish a career in the medical device industry. In this entry-level
position, the ATM will fully represent our products and programs to targeted Level 1 and Level 2 trauma
centers and stroke centers across their territory. The ATM will focus on creating new account sales
opportunities, as well as expanding existing business in current accounts. The ATMs sales and account
management expertise and success will be rewarded with opportunities for career growth and

Responsibilities

Sales Quota Achievement

Responsible for executing and driving the entire sales process cycle to include lead follow-up,
account qualification, account department/key decision maker mapping, customer relationship
development, product evaluation process, account installation and adaptation, and follow-up.
Responsible for driving direct sales in territory to result in overachieving territory sales quotas in the
account categories of: a) new accounts; b) expansion of business in existing accounts.

Responsible for all follow-up and qualification of territory account leads as outlined in the
NeurOptics Critical Care Product Sales Process.

Collaborates with sales management to develop territory-specific sales targeting and account
strategy plans for: a) new accounts; b) expansion of business in existing accounts.

Collaborates with sales and marketing management to develop non-target Level 3 account support
in lead follow-up.

New Account Management

Plans, organizes and conducts comprehensive product training and inservice programs for clinical
staff facilitating technology integration in Level 1 and Level 2 trauma center and stroke center new
account targets.

o Trains clinical staff in the medical specialty areas of: Critical care unit nursing, neurocritical
care, neurosurgery, stroke neurology, trauma and emergency medicine.

o Reinforces and supports integration of unit and hospital protocols use of automated
quantitative pupillometry as the standard of care in new accounts.

o Works with account clinical staff to seamlessly integrate the NPi Product Line into their
clinical workflow and their hospital Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Existing Account Expansion Management

Drives business expansion in existing account targets, increasing sales of the NPi Product Line and
achieving territory sales expansion quotas.

o Plans and executes strategy for product expansion in current accounts in collaboration with
sales management.

o Organizes and conducts supplementary ongoing training of product and clinical indications
in current accounts, in collaboration with sales management.

o Reinforces and supports integration of unit and hospital protocols, establishing automated
quantitative pupillometry as the standard of care in existing accounts.

Sales and Marketing Team Member

Collaborates with sales management in developing new account and existing account expansion
targets, timelines and conversion plans.

Develops monthly and quarterly account specific sales forecasts.
Provides sales and marketing support at territory, regional and national industry meetings
promoting the NeurOptics Critical Care products.

Primary Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is required, with noteworthy academic achievements.
- A track record of proven success in previous work experience is necessary.
- A successful track record and history managing customer-oriented interactions is highly
recommended.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills is required.
- Demonstrate an exceptional ability to lead group presentations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- A self-starter who is highly motivated to excel.
- Requires approximately 60-70% overnight travel with many early morning and evening
customer presentations.
- Must have a valid drivers license.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The ATM position primarily works outside of a traditional office environment, making daily customer
sales calls or conducting training and inservice programs in hospitals and clinics. Daily territory travel is
a fundamental job component, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid drivers
license is required. The ATM position requires frequent driving, sitting, standing and walking. This
position requires standing for extended periods when facilitating customer meetings or walking in
hospitals and clinics. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. The
physical demands of the position described herein are essential functions of the job and employees
must be able to successfully perform these tasks for extended periods.

completely prepared to meaningfully represent our products and services to our customers across the
spectrum of clinical areas and medical specialties where the neurological patient is treated. Upon hire,
the ATM will enter a comprehensive training program which combines training in the areas of sales
process skills, product knowledge and clinical applications, large-group presentation skills, and territory

management skills training. Ongoing professional development will continue throughout the career of
the NeurOptics representative.
Compensation and Benefits
The ATM is eligible for a first-year compensation opportunity of salary and bonus totaling $50-60K, and
offers an additional overachievement earning potential. In addition, the ATM compensation package
will include a monthly car allowance and travel expenses. This highly valued position will become eligible
for participation in the Company Stock Option Program following 12 months of continuous employment
with the Company.
