LECTOR, EMHC AND ALTAR SERVER TRAINING
Training for new and experienced altar servers will be held
after both weekend Masses on Sept. 27 and 28. Training
for new and experienced lectors will be held on Tuesday,
September 30
th
at 7:30 p.m. and training for new and
experienced Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
will be held on Monday, September 29
th
at 7:30 p.m. All
the training sessions will be held in the Desert Dove
Sanctuary.

CATECHIST TRAINING MEETING
All Catechists and Assistants are asked to attend a training
meeting on Sunday, September 28
th
from 11:15-1:15 p.m. in
the Desert Dove Conference Room. The topic is
Introduction to the Old Testament and Childrens
Ministry is provided.

CANDY COLLECTIONS FOR THE HARVEST
FESTIVAL
The Youth Group will be volunteering with the Chapel
Harvest Festival on Friday, October 31
st
. To assist them
with this community service project, we are collecting bags

JOIN US IN TWO WEEKS FOR THE ARIZONA
ROSARY CELEBRATION
J ust two weeks away, Saturday October 11, 2014, join
together from 10:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. for the 4th Annual
Arizona Rosary Celebration in Tucson. It will be held at
Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8650 North
Shannon Road. Most Rev. Gerald F. Kicanas, Bishop of
Tucson will preside. The Very Rev. J uan-Diego Brunetta,
O. P., will be the keynote speaker. Don't miss this
opportunity to come together as one family in prayer before
the Eucharistic Lord. Admission is free. Prayer Petition
forms are available at your parish. Submit your prayers
requests which will be prayed for during Arizona Rosary
Celebration and for the year by the Benedictine Monastery

BIBLICAL WALK THRU THE MASS
An evening DVD-based scriptural study of the Mass will
begin on Thursday, Sept. 25

Dove Classroom 6. This series has 5 sessions and all

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS MEETING
All Knights are asked to attend the monthly meeting of the
Knights of Columbus on Thursday, October 2

CHOSEN AND CHERISHED: BIBLICAL WISDOM
FOR YOUR MARRIAGE
A DVD-based ladies bible study by Kimberly Hahn is being
held on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 in the Desert Dove
Conference Room. All materials and Childrens Ministry
are provided, and we craft while we discuss each chapter.

Personal Service Contract is available for bid 22
September until 1500 on 6 October 2014. This contracted
position manages the day-to-day operations of the Catholic
Parish. Interested parties must be practicing Catholic and
Appropriate (deemed by Catholic Priest) Bachelors degree
and/or a minimum of two years experience in Catholic
Religious Education, human resources, program
management, and/or office organization. Statements of
Work, Bid Schedule and basis for award are available at the
Desert Dove Chapel, 5385 E. Ironwood Street, DMAFB AZ
85707. Interviews will be scheduled prior to opening of
bids on 9 October at 0930 at the Desert Dove Chapel
conference room. Contract will be awarded using the

BLESSING OF THE PETS
In honor of the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, Fr. Charlie
will be blessing all pets on Saturday, October 4

at 3:00
p.m. on the Desert Dove Chapel lawn. So bring your dogs,
cats, hamsters, parrots and goldfish! Pet treats and water
will be available for all of Gods creatures!
