What is Sin?
Sin is the disobedience of the 10 Commandments given by God to Moses. When we break Gods
Law we sin.
What is the Gospel?
The Gospel of Jesus Christ: We were born in sin and live under the curse of sin because of the
fall in the Garden of Eden. Because of sin we are separated from God; the price of sin is a blood
offering resulting in death. In the Old Testament the blood offering was presented to the priests
to pay for the sins of a person or family. The offering had to be a lamb, no bones broken, and no
blemishes. When the lamb was killed the blood was presented to God as an offering for the sin.
Jesus being born of a virgin was pure and had no sin. When Christ was crucified he became sin
for us by being the sacrificial lamb. On the cross he became the sin and His blood paid the price
of sin for everyone. Three days later after His death, He rose from the dead conquering death.
By Christs death on the cross He paid the price for our sins and for all those that believe,
accepting by faith that through Jesus death our sins are forgiven and that He being our Savior
through Him we will enter into the Kingdom of God and forever be with the Lord.
Our faith in what Jesus accomplished on the cross is what saves us,
Ephesian 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift
of God:
Ephesian 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesian 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which
God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
How do we know Christianity is real - Change
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:18 and all things are of the God who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus
Christ, and given to us the ministry of that reconciliation:
2 Corinthians 5:19 how that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not
reckoning to them their offences; and putting in us the word of that reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you
by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For God hath made Jesus to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might
be made the righteousness of God in him.
