Visa Application Requirements (Outside of Iraq)

1 Passport Requirements:

Original passport and one color photocopy of information page. The passport must be signed, valid for 6 months beyond stay and with at least one
blank visa page available for visa stamp(s). Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for visa stamps.

One signed Iraq visa application form plus one copy.
Improperly completed Iraq visa application forms may delay the processing of your Iraq visa.

3 Photo Requirements:






Two recent 2 x 2 passport type photographs in color, front view and with a plain/white background.

4 Official Invitation from Iraq:

An official invitation/visa approval notification issued by the inviting Iraqi Ministry (this document can be a copy) or a copy of the signed
business agreement between the company and the Iraqi authority in Iraq.

5 Business Letter:

Letter from employer or sponsoring company in the country of origin on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the
applicant's employment status/position held in the company, and clearly stating the purpose of visit. The business letter must also indicate
who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in host country.


6 Proof of Departure:

Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or travel agency or copy of airline tickets.

7 VISA Fee
Visit Iraq Embassy for latest VISA fee.

8 Iraq Visa Validity:

Visas are valid for 3 months and may be extended in Iraq.

9 Iraqi Visa Processing Time:

Iraq visas are usually processed once approval is received from the Iraq Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Processing time will vary depending on
when the approval is received by the consulate, this can take 3 to 4 weeks or longer. Once approval is received, visas are issued within 2 to
4 business days.

2 Inside Iraqi Visa Application Form:

Form must be submitted by PRO Officer, along with Passport Copies and Photographs of the applicants.

3 Photo Requirements:

Visit Iraq Embassy for latest VISA fee.


5 Application Procedure

CPECC PRO must submit the application along with other required documents to the client company. If Client Company is not Iraqi National
/ Govt. Company then on behalf of CPECC client company will submit the application to its local Iraqi partner. And local Iraqi Partner will
submit the application to Ministry of Labor.




5 Iraqi Visa Validity:

Visas are valid for one year and may be extended in Iraq.

6 Iraqi Visa Processing Time:

Iraq visas are usually processed once approval is received from the Iraq Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Processing time will vary depending on
when the approval is received by the consulate; this can take 6-7 weeks or longer. Once approval is received, visas are issued within 2 to 4
