Crossover Jacket
This tailored tweed jacket from
the Debbie Bliss design house is
worked in a very unusual yarn.
The core of Milano is a tweedy
bundle of fibers. A black strand
wraps around this core enhancing
the colors and making an even
fiber for pleasurable knitting. It
will remind you of a woven fabric
when you knit it up. Your jacket
will be a delight to wear with its
crossover tie closure.

Archers Cowl
You may recognize this garment
shape from a recent movie. We
have translated this bit of pop
culture into a quick crochet
project. This cowl is worn
low over the shoulders and is
anchored around one arm. Our
version begins with a foundation
row. The body of the piece is
done in post stitch crochet and
will be a breeze to work up for
intermediate level crocheters.
The pattern is written in a way
that can be used with a wide
variety of yarns from heavy
worsted to super bulky.

Noro Vest
Kate loves to help people be
successful with their first real
sweater project. She is always
on the lookout for suitable
designs and loves to help her
students with the finishing
details that make all the
difference. This vest design
worked in Noro Silk Garden
meets her high standards. It
caught her eye because of the
sophisticated touches like the
corded edgings and button
loops.

Fair Isle
Felted Tote
Susans newest design for a
felted tote uses traditional Fair
Isle designs. It is intended to be
an introduction to color stranded
knitting. It will give you a chance
to play with color and to get your
Fair Isle groove going. Susan will
make sure that you understand
the essentials of color stranded
knitting as you launch into your
tote. This design will give you
the chance to practice, practice,
practice, which is the real secret
to smooth stranded knitting.
The felting process will hide
any imperfections and turn your
beginning Fair Isle efforts into a
project to be proud of. Saturday

Hats & Mittens
for the Whole Family
3 great patterns from Knitting Pure and
Simple will be all that you need to knit basic
hats and mittens for any member of the family.
The size range includes baby through adult
and is suitable for boys and girls, women
and men. The hats include options for rolled
edge, ribbed edge, or earflaps. Susan has
especially been enjoying the way this set of
patterns handles the traditional thumb shaping
on the mittens. It has to be the easiest thumb
gusset ever.

Hitofude
Cardie
If you enjoy knitting
lace, but dont fancy
wearing a shawl,
this design is for
you. This design
will be enjoyable for
seasoned lace knitters
but is also accessible
for less experienced
lace knitters. The
garment shape is a hybrid of a sweater, shawl, and shrug. Its as though
sleeves and a yoke were added to a half circle shawl. Heidi, our lace
expert, declares this to be as close to a perfect pattern as you can get.
Youll be able to choose from a selection of fingering and lace weight
yarns to create your own Hitofude Cardie.

Knit Beginner Project
This hat and scarf combination gives beginners
opportunity to practice and polish their basic skills.
Youll learn to use circular and double pointed
needles while making the hat. The hat will also be
your introduction to multi gauge patterns, which allow
you to make the same design in many different kinds
of yarn. The scarf combines the cables and other
stitches you learned in Knitting for Beginners so that
you can keep learning to read your stitches and have
something beautiful to wear.
