Unilever (Euronext: UNA, LSE: ULVR) is an AngloDutch multinational consumer
goods company co-headquartered in London, England and Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Its products include food, beverages, cleaning agents and personal care products. It is the world's third-largest consumer goods company measured by 2012 revenue, after Procter & Gamble and Nestl. One of the oldest multinational companies, its products are available in around 190 countries. Unilever owns over 400 brands, but focuses on 14 brands with sales of over 1 billion euros - Axe/Lynx, Dove, Omo, Becel/Flora,Heartbrand icecreams, Hellmann's, Knorr, Lipton, Lux, Magn um, Rama, Rexona, Sunsilk and Surf. It is a dual-listed company consisting of Unilever N.V., based in Rotterdam, and Unilever plc, based in London. The two companies operate as a single business, with a common board of directors. Unilever is organised into four main divisions - Foods, Refreshment (beverages and ice cream), Home Care, and Personal Care. It has research and development facilities in the United Kingdom (2), the Netherlands, China, India and the United States. [8]
Unilever was founded in 1929 by the merger of the British soapmaker Lever Brothers (founded in 1885 by William Hesketh Lever) and the Dutch margarine producer Margarine Unie. During the second half of the 20th century the company increasingly diversified from being a maker of products made of oils and fats, and expanded its operations worldwide. It has made numerous corporate acquisitions, including Lipton (1971), Brooke Bond (1984), Chesebrough-Ponds (1987), Best Foods and Ben & Jerry's (2000), and Alberto-Culver(2010). Unilever divested its speciality chemicals businesses to ICI in 1997. Unilever plc has a primary listing on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index. Unilever N.V. has a primary listing on Euronext Amsterdam and is a constituent of the AEX index. Both Unilever plc and Unilever N.V. have secondary listings on the New York Stock Exchange.

Axe / Lynx Axe (also known as Lynx in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and People's Republic of China) is a brand of male grooming products and marketed towards the young male demographic Axe was launched in France in 1983 by Unilever. It was inspired by another of Unilever's brands, Impulse
Unilever were keen to capitalize on Axe's French success and the rest of Europe from 1985 onwards, later introducing the other products in the range. Unilever were unable to use the name Axe in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand due to trademark problems so it was launched as Lynx.
The European launch of the deodorant was followed by success in Latin America and moderate impact in Asia and Africa. In the new millennium, the brand has launched with great success in the United States and Canada. The company has also consolidated its deodorant portfolio by migrating other overlapping male deodorants into the Lynx brand such as South Africa's Ego brand
In January 2012, Unilever launched its first Axe/Lynx product for women in the United Kingdom as part of a global expansion of the previously mens-only brand. The Line of products is named "Axe/Lynx Anarchy".

Knorr Knorr was founded in 1838 by Carl Heinrich Theodor Knorr. Knorr headquarters is in Heilbronn, Germany. Products previously sold under the Lipton brand are now being absorbed into the Knorr product line. With annual sales topping 3 billion, Knorr is Unilever's biggest-selling brand. [1] In cooperation with Slimfast, also owned by Unilever, Knorr markets a line of low-calorie products. An Israeli company based in Haifa, Israel Edible Products, produces kosher soups for Knorr that are sold in Israel and the United States.

Rexona While marketed under the Rexona name in most countries, it is known as Sure in the United Kingdom and Ireland, Degree in the United States of America and Canada, Rexena in Japan and Republic of Korea, and Shield in South Africa. It was developed in 1908 by an Australian pharmacist and his wife. The products are available in varying forms including as aerosols, pumps, roll-ons, sticks and creams.In India, it was launched in 1947 as a rival to Hamam, then a Tata product, but now a part of Hindustan Unilever Ltd.
