Me and the dental team in Jamaica

Dear Ministry Partner,

November has been a busy month of travel. Early in the month, I joined
Atlanta Radiologist Steven Brantley, his daughter and 12 other doctors,
dentists and health providers on a trip to Jamaica to bring medical care
and the love of Christ to the Jamaican prisoners.

Our team was able to provide medical and dental

assistance to inmates of five prisons in Kingston,
Jamaica—Tower Street Correctional Centre, Dia-
mond Crest Juvenile Correctional Institute, St.
Catherine Adult Correctional Centre, Richmond
Farm Male Correctional Centre, and Ft. Augusta
Women's Prison.

Mark Hardy, the Executive Director of Prison Fellowship Jamaica, com-

mented to the local press about our trip by saying, “We hope we have
reduced suffering, and saved lives. This medical team, assisted by PF
Jamaica volunteers, has definitely touched the lives of people in need
of physical and spiritual healing.”

Our trip, planned in cooperation with government and prison authori-

ties, was able to provide medical care to over 600 prisoners as well as to prison staff.

Almost immediately upon my return from Jamaica, I headed up to Louisville, KY, with over 2,000 med students,
doctors and missionaries for the annual Global Missions Health Conference. It was an incredible time to capture
a big picture and vision of all that God is doing throughout the world using medicine to advance His Kingdom.
