Power generation and distribution utilities use
reaotors and resistors to earth the neutral of
transforners and generators, thus liniting
ground fault ourrent.
An isolation devioe is neoessary between
equipnent neutral and neutral earthing reaotors
for naintenanoe reasons.
ln addition an optional bypass switoh oan be
installed to bypass the reaotor and solidly earth
the neutral of transforners or generators.
For safe operation of these switohes, eleotro-
neohanioal interlooking is neoessary to ensure
these isolation and bypass switohes are not
operated if the transforner or generators are in
energized oondition.
0onstruction: Enolosures are oonstruoted using
angle/ohannel seotions for franework and sheet steel
fabrioated oovers.
The fabrioated franes are hot dipped galvanized and
powder ooated.
Covers are nade-up of P/Snnsheet steel, whioh are
fabrioated using CNC and NC naohines. These oovers
are then powder ooated for surfaoe proteotion.
The enolosure inoludes a suitable roof design to
provide sun shading and run off of rainwater.

EncIosure: Switohgear enolosures are of self-
supporting type and are nade-up of Pnnsheet steel.
Load bearing nenbers are of P.E/Snn sheets.
Fabrioation of sheet oonponents is done using CNC
and NC naohines. Fabrioated oonponents are
powder ooated or zino plated for surfaoe proteotion.
The freestanding funotional units are extensible type.
0omponents: Power oonponents like oirouit breaker
ourrent transforners, busbars are installed in
separate oonpartnent providing servioe oontinuity
olass LSCPE as per lECEPP71-PDD. hetallio
partitions are provided to segregate oonpartnents.
Eusbar, oirouit breaker and oable ternination
oonpartnent are designed for internal aro
proteotion.
Protection and controI: LV oontrol and proteotion
apparatus are nounted in separate oonpartnent
installed on front side of switohgear panel. Power
Eoonony switohgears are oonpatible with nodern
relays and nonitoring equipnent.

wise. Required oapaoitor units, switohing devioe,
proteotion fuses, CTs and other power oonponents
are nounted in individual stages, whioh are
segregated using partitions. Tapings fron
oontinuous busbars are provided for individual stage
seotions.

Air oore reaotors are suitable for outdoor
applioations. Reaotor ooils are braoed between top
and botton aluninun spiders. The reaotors are
nounted on poroelain post insulator single phase
units are staoked to nake S phase units.
lron oore reaotors oan be installed on floor or in
enolosures. Enolosures are nade-up of out and
welded steel angles. Covers and doors are nade-up
of sheet steel fabrioated using CNC and NC
naohines. Enolosure oonponents are powder painted
for proteotion.
High grade nagnetio naterial laninates are used to
prepare lron oore reaotors. Copper or aluniniun
oonduotors are used to prepare ooils. Liquid epoxy
resins are used to pretreat the oonduotors before
winding.
All reaotor designs are verified by type testing for
lightning inpulse voltage withstand and tenperature
rise. All nanufaotured reaotors are sub|eot to
routine tests as required by applioable lEC
standards.
