JADE CLARK LOOK BOOK VOL. 2.

A client based project, of whom I have worked with
before - Jade Clark.
An expansion of works previously completed,
designing new prototype look books for Jade Clarks
AW14 capsule collection.

BACKGROUND:
Branding and Identity for Claires new business
Joymaker - a careers resource centre in Coventry
specialising in fashion and design fields.
Further materials to be produced over time falling
in line with events, seminars, lectures and future
franchisees across the UK.

CONCEPTUALLY SCREEN PRINTED POSTERS
To create a series of screen-printed posters to
illustrate different ways in which scare tactics, are
used by the government and the media to
manipulate the general public.
Focusing on different areas each print will focus
on one method, and will incorporate a pattern and
typography to illustrate the point.
Fear is a powerful tool in mass manipulation.
People are constantly scared by social media
networks into behaving a certain way.
COLLABORATION:
I have chosen to work with Bethany Dalzell for a
collaboration on a concept driven screen printing
brief.

PACKAGED NOTEBOOKS
Design and produce a series of high-quality,
well-designed and aesthetically pleasing
notebooks, which can be used or given as a gift.
Focusing on binding methods, stock choices,
illustration/print/pattern design and overall
execution.
Would be sold typically in stores such as
Paperchase, JOY, Urban Outfitters, Scribblr, and
Independent Gift/Design Boutiques, i.e. The Village
and Colours May Vary.

COSMETICS COMANY BRANDING, IDENTITY AND
PACKAGING DESIGN
Design and produce complete branding, identity,
packaging and promotional collateral for a new,
contemporary and innovative cosmetics company.

FASHION, MUSIC AND LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE
The magazine will feature articles, features and
photography on fashion, lifestyle and music
showcasing both emerging and established
musical acts and designers.

Fashions.
To be pitched to All Saints Spitalfields Store
Management along with Regional, National and
International Management in 2015.

MARIA DEL CARMEN - MATADOR SUSTRE
To create branding and identity, and a look book
for a Matador Tailoring (Matador Sustre) business.
A family-ran Matador Tailoring (Matador Sustre)
business based in Zaragoza, Spain. A tailor in
Spain often specialises in elaborate Matador Dress
for wear in the Bullring.

PRINTED & PACKAGED ZINE SERIES
Design and produce a series of printed and bound
zines.
The Zines are to concept driven and each be
based on a different word chosen at random.

CUPCAKE BAR BRANDING & IDENTITY
Design and produce full branding, identity and
packaging collateral for a new, locally owned
Cupcake Bar that lets customers build their own
cupcakes, by choosing cake flavour, frosting and
toppings.

MARBELLA LUXURY WEEKEND RE-BRANDING
An annual event which takes place in Puerto
Banus, Marbella over the first weekend of June,
celebrating luxury lifestyles and shopping in the
area.
The event has been on-going for many years, and
attracts attention from international visitors,
celebrities, socialites, press, media and tourists.
The event needs updating visually, to represent the
luxury element of the weekend as well as chic yet
cultural, modern day city Marbella is turning into.

COMPETITION BRIEFS:
In terms of competition briefs, I would like to enter
a brand-set brief focusing on print,
pattern or illustration design allowing a
different aesthetic and context to be used and
playfully experimented with.

AUDIENCE:
The variety of briefs chosen, including the live
briefs listed are heavily focused towards an
on-trend, youthful audience, with the majority of
briefs being aimed towards either a female or
unisex audience.
This coincides with my direction as a designer
past, present and future, as well as allowing myself
to be versatile to different concepts and aesthetics.

RESEARCH AND DIRECTION FOR COP3:
The direction chosen is heavily influenced by the
ideal body image and eating disorders, looking
into the commercialization of women over time.
Contextual studies and research has and will
continue to be carried out on the noted topics
along with an emphasis on the 20th and 21st
centuries.
DISSERTATION:
How has the Commercialization of the Ideal
Body Image affected Eating Disorders?
PRACTICAL:
A visual timeline highlighting bodily changes of
the ideal woman since 1900.
