Focusing on different areas each print will focus on one method, and will incorporate a pattern and typography to illustrate the point. Fear is a powerful tool in mass manipulation. People are constantly scared by social media networks into behaving a certain way. (1 month brief) FASHION, MUSIC AND LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE The magazine will feature articles, features and photography on fashion, lifestyle and music showcasing both emerging and established musical acts and designers. A family-ran Matador Tailoring (Matador Sustre) business based in Zaragoza, Spain. A tailor in Spain often specialises in elaborate Matador Dress for wear in the Bullring. (2 week brief) CUPCAKE BAR BRANDING & IDENTITY Design and produce full branding, identity and packaging collateral for a new, locally owned Cupcake Bar that lets customers build their own cupcakes, by choosing cake flavour, frosting and toppings. (1 month brief) MARBELLA LUXURY WEEKEND RE-BRANDING An annual event which takes place in Puerto Banus, Marbella over the first weekend of June, celebrating luxury lifestyles and shopping in the area. The event has been on-going for many years, and attracts attention from international visitors, celebrities, socialites, press, media and tourists. The event needs updating visually, to represent the luxury element of the weekend as well as chic yet cultural, modern day city Marbella is turning into. The event oversees: - Housing and Architecture - Fashion Design - Interior Design - Luxury Cars - Yachting and Boating - Luxury Shopping (2 month brief) COMPETITION BRIEFS: In terms of competition briefs, I would like to enter a brand-set brief focusing on print, pattern or illustration design allowing a different aesthetic and context to be used and playfully experimented with. - YCN (1 month brief) - SECRET7 (1 day brief) AUDIENCE: The variety of briefs chosen, including the live briefs listed are heavily focused towards an on-trend, youthful audience, with the majority of briefs being aimed towards either a female or unisex audience. Contextual studies and research has and will continue to be carried out on the noted topics along with an emphasis on the 20th and 21st centuries. DISSERTATION: How has the Commercialization of the Ideal Body Image affected Eating Disorders? PRACTICAL: A visual timeline highlighting bodily changes of the ideal woman since 1900.
