There will be a Congregational Meeting on October 26 at 11am worship service to approve terms of call for our pastors and hear from our Pastor Nominating Committee. Whohoo! As we ARISE AND BUILD together, consider your part in the story of this church family. Many faithful believers have come before us and made a place for us to come to know God, learn about, and worship Him. Pray about how you will make a place for future believers by giving back through ARISE AND BUILD. November 2 is our chance to bring our Commitment Cards forward as a church family and celebrate all that God has done and will do in our future, and we each have a chance to participate. If you didnt receive a card in the mail with your campaign booklet, you can pick one up in the lobby of the Edington Ministry Center this morning. Thank you for coming to First Presbyterian Church of Orlando this morning! So glad youre here. We worship together as a church family in four services on Sundays: Traditional worship in the Sanctuary at 8:30 and 11am, and Genesis worship in Lee Fellowship Hall at 9:45am and 11am. If youd like to connect and learn more about this church, stop by our Legacy Room adjacent to the Sanctuary, or you can sign in at fpco.org/guest. NEXT WEEK November 2: ARISE Commitment Sunday, a family worship Sunday. Worship together in the Sanctuary at 8:30am & 11am. Prayer is an opportunity to rest in Gods presence and listen for His voice. As part of this covenant family, well join together for Evening Prayer, Wednesday, October 15 at 6pm in Lee Fellowship Hall. NEXT STEP The Womens Cancer Support Group meets this Wednesday, October 15 in Room 340 of the Edington Ministry Center at 12pm. A light lunch is provided. If you are preparing for, are currently undergoing treatment, or are a cancer survivor, we encourage you to join us in a comforting place to share your story and get information from women who have been through various types of cancer. Usury, and the Sin that Detracts from Gods Agenda Assisting in Worship: Mr. Bret Allen and Wil Brown. 1. What are the unstated idols in our community of faith that need confronting, confession, repentance, and celebration? 2. Nehemiah got full participation from his people, from the farmers to the nobles. Together they not only rebuilt the wall, but they re-formed their society by refashioning their nancial system. Full participation; all in. Are you all in with the Arise and Build Campaign? If not, why not and how could you get your concerns addressed? STUDY QUESTIONS & NOTES A question: do we come to worship today with the expectation of encountering God at some point, of hearing his voice? We might wonder, will God actually speak to me? Will there be some challenge from him that causes me to make an adjustment in how I live my life? Some of us may not have been in worship for a while, others were here last week. From what I read in Scripture of various people encountering God, their life and perspective changed when they heard God. We may have been in worship hundreds of times or very few times, the point is that we are here this morning for the rst time. Today has never happened before. God is present; we have gathered in his name. He is the one who has invited you and me into his presence. This is not just another Sunday. Ordinary and Sunday do not go together. Encounters with God were life-changing in the Bible and continue to be so today. What will God say to you this morning? - Dr. Dan Sharp

This is an appropriate way to greet fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, and so we say, The peace of the Lord be with you and respond, And also with you. We then pass this greeting of peace to one another. At the passing of the peace we should earnestly desire Gods peace upon each person we greet.
