It has been designed with a view to establishing itself as a leading Masters program integrating studies in monetary economics, macroeconomics and nance and a major gateway to high-prole jobs in the banking and nancial sector. WHY MMF I N F RANKF URT ?
It provides an unique combination of money, macroeconomics and finance, much better tailored to the banking and financial sector than either single-field Masters programs or typical economics and finance programs. It combines teaching by academics with topical courses taught by high-level practitioners in central banks, including the ECB, and in the private sector. It has a rich structure combining regular core and elective courses with seminars and supplementary courses. It is taught in close proximity to two central banks, and to numerous private banks and insurance companies in a major financial center and in the most beautiful and modern campus in Germany, one of the best in the world.

The program is taught in English; knowledge of German is not required for admission to, or completion of the program Regular duration: 4 semesters Total credits: 120 CP Studies commence every winter term The Masters program in Money and Finance is designed as a four-semester program, with the fourth semester being devoted to research and writing of a Masters thesis. It has ve major components: Fundamental Modules are intended to provide the basic tools for the subsequent courses and the thesis work. Electives are chosen from two lists of available courses. These courses are intended to provide advanced specialized knowledge in areas that should be chosen by the student with a view to future career plans. Supplementary Modules are intended to provide a close look at how academic principles are applied to work carried out by practitioners in central and commercial banking, and in the broader nancial sector. They are typically taught by central bankers and practitioners in the banking and nancial sector. Seminars of two types are offered: Field Seminar Thesis Seminar The Masters thesis research is conducted during the last semester of the program and demonstrates the students in-depth familiarity with a particular topic in monetary economics, nance, or their interaction, as well as his/her ability for some original work.
