The Christian is bred by the Word and must be fed by it. William Gurnall
Romans 2:5-8 "But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing
up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6
who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: 7 to those who by
perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; 8 but to
those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness,
wrath and indignation."

Reasons to Reflect on Baptism #23. Baptism Calls Us to Live in the Light of our Union
With Christ, Part 1 - We Died With Christ. Our union with Christ in His death means that
we cannot live in sin any longer. Sin is not our master now, for we are not under law but
under grace. For the Christian, sin is no longer the inevitable result of being tempted to sin.
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and
the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave
Himself up for me." (Galatians 2:20) http://gopcmodestortp.blogspot.com.
Helpful Quotes
The heart of a Christian, like the moon, commonly suffers an eclipse when it is at the f ull,
and that by the interposition of the earth. John Flavel

I hope, by Gods grace, that I am truly a Christian, not deviating from the faith, and that I
would rather suffer the penalty of a terrible death than wish to affirm anything outside of the
faith or transgress the commandments of our Lord Jesus Christ. John Hus

O Lord, Jesus Christ, into Your hands I deliver my soul, which You have redeemed with
Your blood. Father in Heaven, do not hold against them the sins which my enemies commit
against me, and let my eyes see them blissfully with You, when their souls fly to Your
throne after an easy death. Oh Holy Spirit, enlighten their deceived hearts, so that the truth
of the holy Gospel may open their eyes and its praise be spread everywhere, forever and
ever, Amen. John Hus
