Fr. Hecker Day of prayer Thursday, October 23
Please join us in prayer on the 165th anniversary of
Servant of God Isaac Heckers ordination to the
priesthood this Thursday, October 23. This day has
been designated by the Paulist President as a day of
prayer for the Canonization of Father Isaac Hecker,
the founder of the Paulist Fathers.

Happy Sunday, Longhorn Catholics!!! Time to
think about Spring Break Mission Trip 2015!

Last year I framed our adventures around the
questions, Who are our neighbors? Who are our
brothers and sisters in Christ? While it is honorable
to go overseas for a mission trip, it is also a great thing to help
those in need right here in the great state of Texas!

We kept our rewarding adventures here in Texas last year. The
missionaries told me it was a life-changing experience, and it was
for me as well. Mission Trip 2015 will be right here in Texas again,
and I highly encourage you to apply. Applications have officially
opened. To get an application, you may request one by
email (dorothy@utcatholic.org) or stop by my office or the
front desk. Applications are due one week from today
(10/26)! If you have any questions, by all means, contact me! We
will be working with Habitat for Humanity once again. I am super
excited and you should be too! We fill up fast, so get your
application in right away.

Come spread the love of God and be infused by His grace while
having a wonderful time. While we work hard, it is a rewarding
and relaxing experience to make new friends and bond as a team.

As I always say, my door is open for whatever you may need.

I pray for all of you each and every day.

Dominican sisters vocation retreat Oct. 25-26
Join other young Catholic women (ages 14-30)
who have an openness to seeking a deeper
relationship with Christ and a desire to know the
path of holiness to which God is calling them. The
retreat includes all night Eucharistic Adoration,
Mass and the Divine Office prayed with the
Sisters, talks and testimonies about religious life
and discernment, and more! Retreat will be 3 pm
