To convert the .CGR file into .IGES or .STEP file, following steps should be followed.
Note: DMO License is required to perform this action.
1. First you have to open .CGR into CATIA by Inserting File - > New Product and then Insert - > Existing
component.
2. Now Switch to DMU Optimizer workbench and open Silhouette Command.

3. Manipulate the Accuracy for Definition and Simplification according to your requirement. Then Save
the file as .MODEL.
4. Now open the .MODEL file in CATIA and copy the part.

5. Now create new part file and paste the .MODEL data in the newly created Part file.
6. After pasting, the new geometrical set is created with all the surfaces of the part in it.

7. Now you can save the file as .CATPart, .IGES or .STEP* format.

Note:*For saving the file in .STEP you have to first join the surfaces and then use close surface
command.
