Additional Notes: German home learning is posted weekly on the Eskdale German website. Normally the short task that pupils are asked to do (e.g. online language learning game) will have the purpose of being prepared for the next lesson. English independent learning is set through Independent Learning Menus with a choice of tasks. Some take longer than others and students are encouraged to manage their own learning. The days noted on the chart are generally when the teacher will ask to see evidence of work undertaken at home. Maths home learning will sometimes be written, mymaths or revision, especially before assessments. The Sports Leaders will be given pieces of home learning as and when on a Wednesday afternnoon. Core PE lessons are given as and when a research task is set e.g. the markings of a tennis court or the five main rules in basketball. Geography home learning is set as and when is appropriate. Art home learning is set as and when is appropriate. An Art Club also allows students to complete home learning tasks. Computing home learning is set as and when appropriate. Home learning in other subject areas will be set as and when appropriate.
