VMware ESXi 5.5.2 Driver Rollup - Build 2075275

What's In This Release

This release of the VMware ESXi 5.5.2 Driver Rollup provides an installable ESXi ISO image that
includes drivers for various products produced by VMware partners.

Installation Notes for This Release

Important: The ESXi 5.5.2 Driver Rollup is designed for fresh installations of ESXi hosts. VMware
does not support using the ESXi 5.5.2 Driver Rollup to upgrade an existing ESXi installation.

Known Issues
The following known issues apply specifically to this release of the ESXi 5.5.2 Driver Rollup.

For an ESXi server installed with ESXi 5.5.2 Driver Rollup, using the command #esxcli
software vib install to update to a newer ESXi release or patch can result in known
issues such as failing with an unresponsive purple screen.
Instead, use the command #esxcli software vib update to update to a newer ESXi release
or patch.

If the installer in the ESXi 5.5.2 Driver Rollup finds an existing ESXi installation, the
installer displays an option to upgrade the existing installation
Do not select the option to upgrade an existing installation. The ESXi 5.5.2 Driver Rollup
is designed for fresh installations of ESXi hosts. VMware does not support using the ESXi
5.5.2 Driver Rollup to upgrade an existing ESXi installation. If you use the ESXi 5.5.2
Driver Rollup to perform a fresh installation on a system with an existing installation, the
ESXi 5.5.2 Driver Rollup installation will overwrite the existing installation. To preserve
your existing installation, consider an alternate method to install the drivers.
