JEFFREY LEADS SANDERSON 34% to 27%

TORONTO, October 21st, 2014. A new Mainstreet Technologies poll of Bramptonians nds Linda
Jefrey leading in the mayoral race with John Sanderson making gains. The poll found Jefrey
with 34% (-2), John Sanderson at 27% (+7), Susan Fennell at 11% (-2) and Baljit More at 5% (-).
19% (-8%) of respondents were undecided, 5% (-) would vote for someone else; the poll had a
margin of error of +/- 2.44%.
Among those voters self identied as certain to vote, Jefrey is ahead of Sanderson by 7%, 37%
to 30% with More at 3% and Fennell at 12%. For this poll Mainstreet made 2 changes; Someone
Else was added as an option for respondents, and, language was changed to reect that some
respondents may have already cast a ballot.
"Mayor Fennell is continuing to lose ground and re-election for her is out of reach said
Mainstreet Technologies President, Quito Maggi. With 12%, Susan Fennell is just not in
contention, this race is clearly between Jefrey and Sanderson. With just six days left to go and
19% of voters undecided, where those undecided voters go - if they show up, will decide the
election.

Methodology
The poll surveyed a random sample of residents in the City of Brampton by Interactive Voice
Response (IVR) on October 20th, 2014. The questions were; how likely are you to vote in
Bramptons municipal election? (*Certain or already voted, Likely, Might, Unlikely, Not Eligible)
Thinking about the race for Mayor, if an election were held today, for whom would you cast your
vote? (Susan Fennell, Linda Jefrey, Baljit More, John Sanderson, Someone Else, Undecided;
order randomized). Respondents were asked to indicate their age and their gender.
