Sano Bruno's Enterprises Ltd.

Founded in 1965 by Bruno Landesberg, Sano Bruno's
Enterprises Ltd. went public on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange
in 1982. One of Israel's leading manufacturers of non-food
items, including toiletries and hygienic products, industrial,
institutional and household cleaning products, laundry
detergents and paper products, Sano prides itself as an
environmentally friendly company, as a global innovator in
its field and as having the best products in their categories.
Company History
Bruno Landesberg founded The Southern Marketing
Company Ltd. in 1958 and Sano Bruno's Enterprises Ltd. in
1965.
He is the chairman to this day. Sano has been steadily
expanding, establishing new plants for aerosols, paper
products, hygienic products, and cleaning products. Sano
has been listed publicly on The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange
since 1982. Sano has about 1,000 direct and indirect
employees.
Business Activity
Sano is one of Israel's leading manufacturers of non-food
items, with over 600 products including toiletries and
hygienic products, disposable diapers, incontinence
absorption products, disposable diapers, industrial and
household cleaning products, laundry detergents, insect
repellants and insecticides, and paper products. The
Standards Institution of Israel has certified all Sano products
as ISO 9001:2000 compliant. Sano invests heavily in
research and development of new products and improving
product lines, including through use of automation and
robotics. Its plants operate according to the most stringent
European Union CE Mark standards, to ensure better product
quality, to safeguard the environment and to improve
people's quality of life, while making its products more
convenient to use. Sano prides itself as an environmentally
friendly company, minimizing packaging, encouraging
recycling and being a global innovator in its field.
In 1985, Sano was one of the first companies in the world to
stop using freon gas, which damages the ozone layer. Sano's
sales and profits have been rising steadily for over a decade.
It posted a net profit of NIS 83.1 million on NIS 856.7 million
sales for 2006, compared with a net profit of NIS 59.6 million
on NIS 779.1 million turnover for 2005. Its market
capitalization is over $200 million. Exports account for 4% of
total sales.

Subsidiaries
Sano has plants in Hod Hasharon, Netanya, Kibbutz Snir, and
operations in Eastern Europe, selling both under the Sano
label and private labels. Sano's wholly-owned subsidiaries
are The Southern Marketing Company Ltd., a leading
distributor of Sano and other companies' products;
Cosmopharm Ltd., a manufacturer of toileteries and
cosmetic products; Snir Paper Industries Ltd., a
manufacturer of paper goods; Nur Ltd.; Sano Bruno's Real
Estate Co.; Sano Romania Ltd. - located in Bucharest,
Romania; and Sano Intertrans Ltd. - active in trade in raw
materials, as well as marketing and sale of commodities.
Sano also owns 90% of Israpaper Paper Industries Ltd., and
41% of the publicly-traded Shaniv Paper Industries (TASE:
SHAN), a manufacturer of paper products.
Marketing & Sales
Sano markets its products in Israel via The Southern
Marketing Co. Ltd., one of the largest distribution
organizations in Israel. The company reaches all the
supermarket chains and thousands of retail outlets.
Similarly, the company distributes its various products to the
institutional market: public institutions, hospitals, hotels,
banquet halls, and community organizations.
International Activity
Sano has an efficient and skilled export department that
exports "Sano" brand products to numerous countries
throughout Europe, North and South America, Turkey,
Jordan, Australia, Singapore, and Taiwan. The "Sano
Romania Ltd." subsidiary is active in marketing, sale, and
distribution. The company owns land on which its distribution
warehouses are built. Exports in 2006 reached $6.4 million.
