6
Survey Important Points
Distance between BTS and Customer Place must be less
than 4km. For distance more than this, high gain antenna
radios are required.
There must be clear line of sight (LOS) between two
locations. In case of NLOS, obstruction details with
lat-long and height must be specified.
Structure height must be as low as possible.
Pole(3m/6m) will be preferred over mast if above two
conditions are full filled. For mast, obstruction details
are required as mentioned in above point.
CAT5 length must be within 100m from ODU to
Customer PC.
Site will be declared feasible only if all above conditions
are full filled.
7
Approval To Start Installation
Customer circle person should give approval by mail
to start installation after verifying survey report.
Approval will be treated as Valid if mail contains
following details. Below mentioned details may not
be provided depending on urgency of installation
1. Site name, address & contact person
2. BTS name, address & contact person
3. Structure (Pole/Mast with Height mentioned)
required at Customer End to clear LOS
4. Requirement of earthing.
5. Both end UBR IP, Subnet and Gateway
6. Data VLAN and Customer IP, Subnet and Gateway
7. Confirmation about NMS and DCN reachability

Excavation on earth for a normal Earth Pit size is (2
X 2 X 1.5) feet
Use 300 mm X 300 mm X 3 mm Copper Earth Plate
Make a mixture of Charcoal (50Kg), Salt (50Kg) &
Sand all in equal part
Put Copper EARTH PLATE in the mid of mixture
Use Green Color 16 sqmm Copper Earth cable to
connect Copper Earth plate
GI Pipe of size 1.5m and 2 inch diameter with a
funnel on the top of GI Pipe
