For ABP purposes, 1-3 of your Individual KPIs must be measurable Create a New Goal (KPI) You will be asked if you want to create goals: Manually - enter details in the Create a Goal box Through alignment Allows you to select certain KPIs from your managers Goal Plan and copy it to your own Goal Plan From previous plan Use Goal Selector box to select the Goal Goal (KPI)Alignment Goal (KPI) Alignment KPIs need to be aligned
Alignment can be done by managers who can cascade KPIs by using the Assign function or by employees who can select certain KPIs from their managers Goal Plan and copy them to their own Goal Plan using the Through Alignment function When Through Alignment is chosen, the employee can see and select KPIs from their manager that the manager has marked as Public Goal (KPI) Alignment Click on Selected Employees, then select the direct report(s) to whom you want to assign the KPI(s)
The KPI will then appear in the Goal Plan of the assigned employee(s) Another way for a manager to share KPIs with their employees is to use the Assign feature to cascade KPIs to direct reports Assign the selected goal to my direct reports To assign, from your Goal Plan, select the KPI(s) you want to assign, then select the button "Assign the selected Goal to my direct reports" Mark as ABP Eligible Indicates if this KPI's % of achievement is to be used to determine the payout of the ABP
No more than 1-3 of an employees Individual KPIs may be selected for ABP eligibility
ABP eligible KPIs should be aligned or cascaded by the manager to their reports (following direction from their leadership). Managers and employees jointly determine which KPIs are marked as ABP eligible Mark as Public Per default, all KPIs are Public and must be unchecked to make Private
KPIs marked as Public can be viewed by the direct reports of their Manager and used to create a KPI through the alignment option
Include in performance review When required, the tool will calculate an Overall Performance Level (OPL) using the ratings of all KPIs marked as Include in performance review
Managers and employees should jointly determine which KPI(s) should be excluded from the OPL (e.g., a development KPI such as completing a course )

If you use the Attachment function to enter your KPIs into the tool, you MUST create at least one generic KPI (can be named "see attachment <file name>"). This KPI will be flagged as ABP Eligible. It will be used to calculate your ABP eligible KPI % of achievement and its rating will provide your Overall Performance Level that will be sent to the compensation tool in 2015. Without those two elements, your Individual part of the ABP will be at 0 Select OK to add Browse for the file to be added To begin, select Show Tools ABP eligible employees you must enter all KPI detail/vaues into the tool. Attachments can be used for additional description, but cannot contain the values and measures To remove a KPI, check the KPI to be deleted, select the red "-" button and confirm your decision To update a KPI, edit the fields you want to change and press the Save button Some edits will require a manager to re-approve the Goal Plan* Delete and Update a KPI *Edits/changes that revert the Goal Plan to unapproved status include changes to: KPI name, description, initial value, target value, measurement text, rating Request Goal Plan Approval Approval must be requested from a manager for new or updated KPI(s) from the Task Bar or by selecting the More Actions drop down where you can also select the option Request Approval January 1 2014 Review the KPIs and then approve or reject.
