OFFICIAL RULES

No Purchase Necessary
Boston Globe (Sponsor) is offering a sweepstakes on Twitter where participants
may enter via Twitter (the Sweepstakes). The Sweepstakes will be announced via a
tweet from the Sponsors Twitter user name (the Tweet). The Sweepstakes details
are provided in the Tweet, such as how to enter, entry deadline, entry limitation, and
prize, are incorporated herein by reference.
1. Eligibility. The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the Boston,
Massachusetts metropolitan area who are 18 or older and have an active Twitter account
prior to participating. Dont have a Twitter account, visit Twitter.com to obtain one for
free. Employees of Sponsor, Kings Bowl America and its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries,
and participating promotion and advertising agencies (collectively, Sweepstakes
Entities), and members of their immediate families (spouse and parents, siblings,
children and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and their same
households, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate. Void where
prohibited by law. Subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Participation constitutes your unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and
Sponsors and judges decisions, which are final and binding on all matters related to the
Sweepstakes.

2. How to Enter. To enter the Sweepstakes, follow @GlobeEvents on Twitter
and send a tweet answering the inquiry posted by Sponsor. All entries must be received
by 11:59:59 pm ET on November 21, 2014 to be eligible for the Sweepstakes.
If you enter the Sweepstakes, post updates to or receive updates from Sponsor or
Twitter via SMS from your wireless phone, your entry may be subject to message and
data charges for each text message you send and receive. Please consult your wireless
service provider for more information.
3. Limit On Entries. One entry per Twitter account. If an individual submits
more than one (1) entry, all entries received after the first entry received will be void.
Persons are not permitted to use multiple Twitter accounts to enter the Sweepstakes.
Persons who use multiple Twitter accounts will be disqualified. Entries generated by
script, macro or other automated means or by any means which subvert the entry
process will be void. By submitting an entry, you understand that the entry will be
posted on Twitter for viewing by the general public. You agree that the Sweepstakes
Entities are not responsible for any unauthorized use of entries by third parties.
Sweepstakes Entities do not guarantee the posting of any entry. Sponsor reserves the
right in its sole and unfettered discretion to disqualify any entry that it believes fails to
comply with any provision of these Official Rules or Twitters Terms of Service.
Any entry that is, in Sponsors sole discretion, obscene, profane, lewd, defamatory or
contains unsuitable text, the use of full proper names, third party materials, or
otherwise violates or infringes (or may infringe) any copyright, trademark, logo, mark
that identifies a brand or other proprietary right of any person living or deceased
(including but not limited to rights of privacy or publicity or portrayal in a false light) or
entity, sexual in nature, or is otherwise objectionable, will cause the entry to be
disqualified as determined in Sponsors sole discretion. Entry must be in keeping with
Sweepstakes Entities image and may not be offensive as determined by Sponsor in its
sole discretion.
4. Winner Selection/Odds. Five (5) potential winners (each a Potential
Winner) for the Sweepstakes will be selected at random on or about November 22,
2014 from all eligible entries received. Sponsor reserves the right to not award the
prize or all prizes for the Sweepstakes if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a
sufficient number of eligible and qualified entries. Decisions of the Sponsor and judges
are final and binding in all respects. Odds of winning are based on the total number of
eligible entries received.
5. Winner Notification. Each Potential Winner will be notified via Twitter Direct
Reply Message. If a Potential Winner does not respond to the notification message
within 7 days of the date the notice was sent, the prize may be forfeited and, at
Sponsors discretion, an alternate Potential Winner may be selected for the
Sweepstakes. A Potential Winner may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of
Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within a time period specified by Sponsor.

Failure to return all required documents within the specified time period, the return of a
prize or prize notification as undeliverable or a potential winners noncompliance with
these Official Rules will result in disqualification and, at Sponsors discretion, an
alternate winner selected for the Sweepstakes. A Potential Winner is not an official
winner (Winner) until Potential Winners eligibility has been verified and Potential
Winner has been notified that verification is complete.
6. Prize. Each of the five (5) Winners will receive a $50 Kings Bowl America
gift card good at any Kings Bowl America location for merchandise (excluding alcohol,
tax and gratuity), bowling or other available services. Prize may not be redeemed for
cash, transferred or substituted except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute
a prize with an item of comparable or greater value. Limit one (1) prize per
person/Twitter user name. Additional prize restrictions may also apply. All prize details
are at Sponsors discretion. Taxes, if any, are solely the responsibility of the Winner. All
costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified are the
responsibility of the Winner.
7. Grant of Rights. By accepting a prize, you grant Sponsor and its designees
the right to use your name, Twitter user name, biographical information, photo and/or
likeness for advertising, publicity, promotional and other purposes in any and all media,
now or hereafter devised, throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional
compensation, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law. You agree to
sign any documents that may be necessary to further affect the assignment of these
rights.
8. General Conditions. Sponsor, Kings Bowl America, Twitter, Inc. and its
parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, and participating promotion and advertising agencies
(collectively, Released Parties) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete,
inaccurate, delayed, stolen, misdirected, undelivered or garbled Tweets, retweets or
entries; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider
(ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications
or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure
or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or
software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind
whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or
otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without
limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of
the Sweepstakes, the processing of tweets, retweets or entries, the announcement of
the prizes or in any Tweet or Sweepstakes-related materials. Released Parties are also
not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by users,
tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in
the Sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to your or
to any other person's computer or mobile devise related to or resulting from
participating in the Sweepstakes or downloading materials. Persons who tamper with or

abuse any aspect of the Sweepstakes, who are in violation of these Official Rules, or who
act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner as solely determined by Sponsor, will be
disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole
discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof) for
any reason, including, but not limited to, should any portion of the Sweepstakes be, in
Sponsors sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human
intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair
the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, and, if
terminated, at its discretion, select the potential winners for the Sweepstakes from all
eligible, non-suspect entries received for the Sweepstakes prior to action taken using a
random drawing. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the prize will be
awarded to the authorized account holder of the email address connected to the winning
Twitter account and s/he must comply with these Official Rules. The authorized
account holder is defined as the natural person to whom the email address is assigned
by an Internet service provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g.,
business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses
for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
9. Governing Law/Jurisdiction. All issues and questions concerning the
construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules or the
rights and obligations of participants or Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes
shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the state of
New York, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions
that would cause the application of any other state laws. Claims may not be resolved
through any form of class action. Venue for all suits will be in federal or state courts
located in Boston, MA.
10. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold Released Parties harmless
from and against any suits, claims, losses, damages and expenses, including reasonable
attorney fees, that it may sustain from any breach of a representation or warranty made
by the you or the use of any rights granted by you to Sponsor hereunder.
11. Severability. If any provision(s) of these Official Rules are held to be invalid
or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
12. Winners List. You can obtain the list of winners by sending a tweet to the
same Sponsor Twitter user name designated for entry. Requests for winners lists
received 30 days after the conclusion of the Sweepstakes will not be honored.
