The document outlines concerns about the proposed Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline project, including:
1) The 42-inch pipeline would run through 9 counties in Pennsylvania and use high pressures of 1400-1500 pounds per square inch, posing risks to health, safety, and property.
2) The pipeline is intended to transport natural gas to an export facility, with compressor stations emitting various toxins every 10-15 miles along the route.
3) Supporting gas infrastructure like 100,000 new well pads and compressor stations also threaten water resources, public health, and quality of life for residents living near the projects.
4) A meeting is scheduled for November 20th to discuss stopping the pipeline.

Williams Partners has proposed The Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline to run through nine counties in Pennsylvania, and yours is one of them!
Williams Partners safety record will astound you! Take a look at https://www.kftc.org/sites/default/files/docs/resources/williams_compliance_and_safety. pdf
This 42inch pipeline uses 1400 to 1500 pounds of pressure per square inch in the entire pipeline, not only in Columbia County, but also in all the other eight counties. (Nine counties in all)
The likely destination of this gas is an export facility where LNG (liquefied natural gas) will be transported on tankers aimed for global markets that include China, Japan, India, Norway and others.
This pipeline requires compressor stations every 10 or 15 miles, which will run 24/7 and will emit things like ozone, volatile organic compounds, neurotoxins, endocrine disrupters, methane, carcinogens and other toxins affecting our health and the health of our children.
This pipeline WILL endanger your basic right to determine the use of property owned by you if Williams Partners, a forprofit company from Tulsa, Oklahoma, enacts eminent domain to take your property now and/or in the future.
This pipeline WILL endanger property values all along the pipeline in our county as well as in Susquehanna, Luzerne, Wyoming, Lycoming, Northumberland, Schuykill, Lebanon, and Lancaster counties, and may affect citizens ability to secure homeowners insurance or a second mortgage.
This pipeline WILL endanger the clean air you breathe, impact the water upon which your community depends, and create the constant noise of compressor stations and interrupt the lifestyle you now enjoy FOREVER.
This pipeline WILL potentially devastate the aquifers. (Our water resources, our springs, wells, streams, and wetlands.)
If you are interested in saving your health, safety and way of life please attend the Stop the Pipeline meeting November 20, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the Bloomsburg Fire hall.
INFRASTRUCTURE THAT WILL FEED THE PIPELINES:
Gas wells Currently there are about 8200 gas wells in PA but the Gas Industry wants to construct around 100,000 well pads, each with the potential of having at least 4 wells on them. You do the math as to how many wells that could possibly be.
Each well requires from 2 to 9 millions gallons of fresh water and as much as 2% of this amount could be toxic chemicals to frack one well. Again you do the math. 2% of 2 to 9 million gallons of fluid is toxic chemicals potentially contaminating your water.
Each well can be fracked up to 20 times in that wells lifetime. (7 to 10 years)
Compressor stations are needed for gas wells and pipelines, and they run 24/7, some of them emitting fumes that make your throat hurt and your eyes burn.
6% to 10% of all wells leak when they are first drilled and ALL will leak eventually.
Pipelines also leak and some even explode.
The AHC (Area of High Consequence) is the area affected by a pipeline explosion. That is roughly a 900 diameter area.
If you are within this area your LIFE IS AT RISK!
