The portfolio of learning for their creative inquiry unit will consist of a collection of learning tasks that explore different areas of creation, including: - Poetry - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories - Music and lyrics - Exploring artworks - Analyzing film scenes Recognize, explain and analyze the ways literary texts draw on readers knowledge of other texts and enable new understanding and appreciation of aesthetic qualities (ACELT1629) Create literary texts that draw upon text structures and language features of other texts for particular purposes and effects (ACELT1632) Visual and annotated documentation of decision making when developing art works planned to meet specific aims and purposes Use of research to support a comparative analysis of characteristics of works in selected art forms Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples ways of life are uniquely expressed through ways of being, knowing, thinking and doing. After researching and learning about different areas of creation, students will present a finished project that will be based on an area that they have studied throughout the unit. Students must include information on the material that inspired them. The project will be presented to the class. Create literary texts that draw upon text structures and language features of other texts for particular purposes and effects (ACELT1632) Generation of ideas for original music works that incorporate ideas developed to emphasize aspects of a selected styles Evaluation of audience feedback in response to presentation of a music work Exploration of ways designs for art works can be realized by combining and manipulating art elements and principles Evaluation and justified modification of their thinking strategies during investigations. Students will be given a budget and will have to use their mathematic skills to create a concert to share all of their projects. Students will have to consider elements and choose from various options, including: - Cost of venue, lighting and sound production - Ticket pricing - Length of show Students will complete this task individually. Solve problems involving profit and loss, with and without digital technologies (ACMNA189) Investigate techniques for collecting data, including census, sampling and observation (ACMSP284)
