A Guide to the

Computer Based Examinations


Introduction
This Guide will provide the information a student
needs to know before attempting the Assessment
of Fundamental Competencies (Objective Type)
examinations which will be computer based.
Papers to be examined in computer based
environment are:
1) AFC 1 : Functional English
2) AFC 2 : Business Communication
3) AFC 3 : Quantitative Methods
4) AFC 4 : Introduction to Information Technology

Examination Schedule
AFC (objective type) examinations would be
held from September 20, 2014 to October 20,
2014 at ICAP approved testing centers.
Exact dates and examination venue(s) will be
mentioned on the admit card to be issued to
the students.

Access to Computer Based Examination
Application would be allowed by using Seven
Digit Roll No. and Password as mentioned on
the Admit Card.
All questions would be compulsory.
Marks will not be deducted for incorrect
answers.
Questions may be attempted in any sequence.
Important Instructions (2 of 3)
Plain paper sheet would be provided for rough
work. You should write your Roll No. and Name on
the paper sheet immediately on receipt thereof.
This paper sheet must be handed over to the
invigilator on completion of the examination.
In the paper of Quantitative Methods,
Only calculators specified in the ICAPs list of
permissible calculators would be allowed during the
examination.
Mathematical and Statistical Tables would be
provided on request.
Use of MS Excel or any other software application
would not be allowed.

In the paper of Introduction to Information
Technology, students would be allowed to use:
MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
applications and their help files.
