I have discerned that throughout Sherri Ybarras educational career, past through the present, she
has been on the floor of the K-12 education arena working, implementing, and striving to create the
best possible effective and efficacious environment for Idaho's children. As an administrator of the
Mountain Home school district her team was successful in promoting a 1-star school to a 4-star
school in a years time. This is the direction of progress she desires for Idaho Schools and her
track record of working with her district indicates success. Dr. Chuck Zimmerly, Retired, Interim
Director, Intermountain Center for Education Effectiveness at the College of Education Idaho State
University
Idaho needs a conservative and innovative Superintendent who is a seasoned education
leader. After hearing from Sherri Ybarra on a host of education issues including Common Core,
funding issues, technology and innovation in Idaho classrooms, we voted overwhelmingly to
support her campaign with a maximum donation. Julie Chadderdon, President of the Idaho Federation
of Republican Women
I am supporting Sherri because she has spent the last 20 years in Idahos schools on the front
lines. Sherri knows firsthand the challenges our K-12 schools face and has demonstrated the ability
to lead us to meet the challenges. Sherri also has the administrative background in todays system
that will give her a solid footing in her role as Supt. of Public Instruction and leading the Dept. of
Education. Shawn Keough Idaho State Senator, Legislative District One Bonner and Boundary
Counties
Sherri Ybarra is a leader with a progressive vision for Idaho's children, and the courage to see it
through. Jana Burke, Pine Elementary Teacher
As our leader, we knew exactly what we were getting with Sherri. She is honest, up-front, and
follows-through on decisions we made-- as a team. She worked along-side us and supported us
every step of the way. Vicki Young, West Elementary Teacher
Those kids loved coming to school, with Sherri as their leader. Melissa Luke-Scaff, Parent
