Introduction

State social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twittes, have become important part
of peoples daily communication. (Data shows 1.3billion people use Facebook)
However, many problems arise, one of which is cyber-bullying in teenage and children.
Cyber-bullying is that students harass, threaten or hurt peers, using various electronics
devices.
The issue has caused serious social problem and has caught attention of sociologists,
governments, educational institutions and parents.
The purpose of the essay is to analyze the consequences of the problem and the proper
solutions.

The definition of Cyberbullying
Cyberbullying is a significant problem in society. Statistics show there is a high frequency
of cyber-bullying.
The consequence of Cyber bullying
1.Cyber-bullying can be very damaging to adolescents and teens. It results in anxiety,
depression, and even suicide.
2.Along with the charactistics of the Internet, cyberbullying is difficult to prevent.
Possible online prevention and offline intervention strategies.

The government enact and enforce the relative cyber-security bills to punish cyber
bullies. In the USA and Japan, laws were made to regulate child online protection.
Awareness-Arise people awareness is one way to reduce the number of
cyber-bullying.
School policies. Schools and teachers and have responsibility to ensure students do
not encounter bullying.
Programmes-anti-cyber-bullying activities be organized. The UK has successfully set
a series anti-cyber-bullying events.
Supervision and censorship. Set online filters to block blacklist websites and limit the
access of Internet to students.
Apply social network software to automatically detect bullying or provide
interventions directly in software interaction

Analyze and compare the above solutions and conclude the effective measures.

Cyber-bullying is concerned as a global problem amongst children and adolescence,


with dire consequence.
Currently, there are many possible effort in offline preventions measures and online
approaches, devoted to decease the amount of incident. However, the relevant law need
be completed and the protection ways need be improved and developed in some lack
counties.
