Description
Boric acid is intended for the chemical industry, glass and ceramics, medicine and other
industries. Depending on the application of boric acid produced four grades: for optical
glass, A, B and C. The product brand for optical glass "is used for optical glass and
other special purposes; product grade A is used for electrolytic capacitors, the product
grade B - for fiberglass, optical lenses, medicine and other purposes; product brands in
- for glassmaking, production of enamels and glazes, drills, fertilizer, and for other
boron-containing products.

Packing
Boric acid is packed in four-, five-layer paper or in plastic bags, as well as in special soft
disposable containers (big bags, MK).
Transportation, storage
Boric acid is transported by rail, sea, river and road transport in closed vehicles. The
product, packed in special soft containers, transported to the open rolling stock. Boric
acid are stored in warehouses with natural ventilation. The product, packed in special
soft containers, allowed to keep open areas.

Basic properties and hazards
The fine crystalline powder, dry white.
Fire and explosion.
Boric acid is ingested if inhaled as a vapor or aerosol.
Dissolved water, boric acid, a well penetrates through damaged
skin (eczema, fractures, burns), causing poisoning of the human
body.
Working with boric acid should be used for respiratory PPE, face
and eyes - goggles, as well as special clothing and footwear, hand
protection.
