area except where designated parking spaces are

contiguous area such as an

applies from when you are
passing a zone-sign at the
entrance until you are passing a zone-sign indicating a
termination of the prohibition at the exit. Please note
there may be sub-signs.

Parking Ticket
If you park at a place where there are ticket machines,
then you must place the ticket in a way where it is visible
through the windshield. You should be aware of the fact
that the ticket can easily blow away when you close the
door or if you have a window slightly open.

Junctions and the 10-metre-rule

According to the Road Traffic Act it is not permitted to park
in a junction within 10 metres from the closest corner of
the crosscutting lane or bicycle path. The 10-metre-rule
applies to all junctions.
The purpose of the 10-metre-rule is to improve the view for
road users, so that drivers can see pedestrians, bicycles
and mopeds better.
If the corner is rounded, the closest corner will be the place
where the roads meet in a sharp angle. As a general rule,
you can calculate the distance by counting tiles. The tiles
are 80 centimetres long and there should therefore be 12,5
tiles between your car and the junction.
