Lab Report #5
In this lab we measured resistance through multiple resistors to find equivalent resistance
throughout a circuit. In a circuit resistance is measured in ohms () and is used to hinder the flow of
electrical current through certain parts of the circuit. When resistors are put in a certain configuration
they create an equivalent resistance from one point on one resistor to a different point on a separate
resistor. We were able to measure the equivalent resistance through the resistor by using the
Multimeter. We also learned how to create a specific circuit on a protoboard using both a schematic,
and also by reading a table. We also transcribed circuit schematics into table form and measured
equivalent resistance in these circuits. Lastly, we were given a circuit and had to draw the schematic by
hand, and then find equivalent resistance using the Multimeter.
The first part of the lab we recreated a circuit using this table, and each resistor was 1.5k

After creating this circuit we measured resistance from point A to all other points on the table. Here are
the resistances:

A to B,C,K = 1.5k
A to D,E = 2.5k
A to F,G = 3k
A to H,I,N = 2.5k
A to L,M = 2.5k
A to J = 4k
After creating this resistor by reading the table, we then created 5 different circuits based on
schematics, created a table for them, and measured equivalent resistance from point A. Here are the
schematics, tables, and data:

For the last part of the lab we were given a premade circuit board and were instructed to draw a

After completing this lab, I have learned how to measure equivalent resistance across multiple
resistors, how to create circuits using both a drawn schematic and a table, and how to make a
schematic/table from visually observing a circuit in person.
