EMERGE Lakeland active in our community
August was a busy month for EMERGE
Lakeland and it is safe to say that its
members definitely made an impact in the
community this month!
On August 27th EMERGE Lakeland
members visited the United Way of
Central Florida and heard from Past
Chairman, Ron Clark, and Joan Eby, EMERGE Lakeland members at the First Friday EMERGE Lakeland members participating in

On August 22nd, members and guests of
EMERGE Lakeland volunteered for a
Lakeland Habitat for Humanity project.
The group lent a helping hand and spent
the morning painting the exterior of a
Lakeland Habitat home. The participants
enjoyed the sun (it was hot), fellowship
and service. Volunteerism is one mission of
EMERGE. The EMERGE volunteer
committee is dedicated to exposing
members to needs within the community
and venues to serve others. If you are

EMERGE members participated in the
First Friday event in Downtown Lakeland
on August 7. Participants “pounded the
pavement” to spread the word about going
green. Members distributed promotional
