Colors of Speakers

When choosing speakers, it is important to consider the structure or wood quality of the building or the interior.
As much as possible, Panasonic speakers have been designed to harmonize with a variety of interiors.
Because building interiors tend to be predominantly white, we have used it as the standard underlying tone.
To accentuate the atmosphere of your interior, simply choose the most appropriate shade.

Panasonic has a hand in preserving the environment

Global Promotion of RoHS

Lead-free Solder production

RoHS*1,

In October 2003, the European Union (EU) issued

a directive
restricting the use of hazardous substances in electrical and
electronic equipment. Starting in July 2006, RoHS prohibits the use
of six specific hazardous substances*2 in products sold in EU
member nations.
Panasonic has decided to eliminate use of these substances from all
Panasonic products sold worldwide and is working to eliminate them
from a wide variety of products. As an electronics manufacturer fully
aware of its responsibility to the global environment, Panasonic is
complying fully with the RoHS directive.
*1: RoHS = the Registration of the use of certain Hazardous Substances
*2: Lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB),
and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE).

From the 1980s attention has been called to the hazardous effects of
lead solder used as a joinder in electric appliances. In response,
Panasonic began to develop joinder technology to produce lead-free
solder and in October of 1998, for the first time in the world, released
a portable MD player that uses lead-free solder in the printed circuit
board (PCB). After this, Panasonic announced that the company
would phase out the use of lead solder in all its products and is
encouraging to do the same.

ISO14001 Certification
Starting with our research and development division, Panasonic has
achieved ISO14001 certification for environmental management at
our manufacturing plants located globally.

What is an infrared wireless microphone system ?

It is a wireless system utilizing infrared rays in the light range. Infrared rays are blocked by
light-blocking materials such as walls. This characteristic leads three big advantages.
01 Interference-free operation
In rooms surrounded by walls, outside infrared
signals are blocked, for an interference-free
operation environment is obtained. The system
can be used in adjacent rooms simultaneously.

Designed for usage in classrooms, lecture rooms and

conference rooms, a new ease of use has been achieved with
Panasonics infrared wireless microphone system.

Broadcast sound from PCs or

other audio sources
When the microphone is connected to a PC
or other audio source, the sound can be
broadcast via the infrared wireless system.

The pendant microphone provides convenient hands-free functionality

The pendant microphone integrates the infrared emitters, microphone and processor
into an all-in-one, easy to use unit, for cable free operation.

In contrast to conventional lapel microphones, the

WX-LT350 has a built in microphone thus eliminating the
need for a hard wired microphone.
The WX-LT350 is suspended around the neck with a
lanyard, allowing for a comfortable, almost un-noticeable
wireless transmitter.

Adjust volume from the microphone itself

The WX-LT350 is equipped with volume control buttons.
These control the volume of the microphone worn by the
user (main unit), others (sub-units), or of the line input of the
WX-LP100 speaker.

High quality stability

1. In order to drive a compact IC completing the circuit,

stable voltage higher than 2.3 V is necessary. DC-DC
amplification technology with ultra high performance is
a core issue, and was applied to various products by
Panasonic in 1980.
2. Ultra precise board assembly technology is the key to
product value, thus it is all the more a factor in product
features. Installation of compact CMOS chip
components realises an unprecedented compact and
light weight wireless microphone.

1. There are two types of wireless microphone antennas:

the built-in type and the external type.
After adopting the 800 MHz frequency (in 1990),
Panasonic stands by the idea of developing built-in
antennas, mainly because external types cannot
secure stable electronic waves.
2. Light frequency circuit fulfills self-regulation functions
for use of EVR, thus avoiding some of the decay
appearing in half-fixed VR fine, and therefore
enormously improving quality stability.

A convenient product enables smoother operation for the users. In developing its
wireless microphone system, Panasonic has taken the many scenarios into account of
which this system will be used. Thats why the Panasonic wireless microphone system
is full of easy-to-use ingenuity, from microphones to speakers.

Compact and simplified features

Necessary consideration to convenience of use

In the past, it was necessary to use a variety of equipment

including wireless receivers, mixers, amplifiers, etc. when
wireless microphones were used at meetings. However,
Panasonic's wireless public address system has greatly
improved upon traditional technology. If a wireless receiver
with a built-in amplifier such as WS-X77F2 is adopted,
wireless public addressing can be realised, along with
space-saving.

The wireless microphone can be held in hand or put in a

pocket because of its compact and light weight design,
representing Panasonics pursuit of personalization.

80mm

Panasonics comprehensive consideration

Receiver

Conventional wireless microphones adopt the VHF and

UHF bandwidths. Because the wavelength of UHF is
shorter than that of VHF, its antenna is also relatively
shorter, thus enabling better aesthetic design. Transmitter
size is minimized through low power demand. Moreover,
the number of receiving frequencies is also increased. And
the higher electric wave noise that appears during wireless
microphone transmission (the higher frequency), the lower
level of noise. Based on factors as such as these, the

* Avoid linking any group 7 frequency with any other adjacent frequency because it is included in group 1 to group 6.
(For example: C71 and C11 belong to the same frequency, therefore, when it operate in the same area, mixing
phenomenon is easy to happen.)

The aligned structure of traditional speakers may increase

radiated disturbance, resulting in unnatural sound. RAMSA
utilizes the waves of speakers in solving that problem with
computer simulation. Disturbing waves are decreased to a
minimum in order to fully realise the original sound. The
high frequency drive unit utilizes the novel SCWG (Square
Contour Wave Guide) unit. Generic rectangular speakers
radiate sound waves of a diamond shape, so using such
speakers may result in disturbance, frequency changes,

and phase counteraction (see diagram). Hence, in order to

avoid that, RAMSAs specific SCWG unit is shaped with
circular radiation to control dispersion within an angle of 45
in the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal ranges.
In this way, a SCWG unit may operate within shorter
intervals and avoid frequency disturbance and phase
counteraction.
SCWC speakers can smoothly distribute sound pressure in
a wide frequency range and enhance sound definition.

Phase locked loop is a feedback loop system composed of

phase sensor apparatus, a loop filter, voltage control
oscillator, and N way frequency processor. The opposed
relation between input waves and feedback waves is an
important loop information. The Panasonic wireless system
utilizes input waves of 3.1875 MHz to obtain N (integer)
times the frequency, Nx3.1875 MHz. Therefore, diversified
frequency can be achieved merely by changing N.

3.1875 MHz

The Wireless Powered Speaker, WS-X77F2 adopts the SCWG (SCWG: Square Contour Wave
Guide) technology developed by RAMSA. RAMSA speaker is a compact yet powerful speaker
designed for halls and theaters which can smoothly distribute sound in a wide frequency
range. The Wireless Powered Speaker, WS-X77F2 perfectly embodies RAMSAs wonderful
large-space public address technology.

Built-in receiving modules and receive signals from

the wireless microphone with their respective antennas.
Maintaining stable output signals is based on comparing
the signals from and and then choosing the best.
Differing from conventional diversity receiving types, the
Panasonic diversity receiving type is not a connection
that switches between the two antennas in one module,
therefore avoiding switching noise and ensuring receiving
stability.
