Note: Central Excise duty, VAT/CST, Entry Tax, Surface Transporting Charges, Rapid Loading Charges and any other taxes & levies as applicable,
will be charged extra, prevailing at the time of despatch.

-2NOTES TO PRICE NOTIFICATION No. CIL/S&M/GM(F)/Pricing/235 DT.27.05.2013:

1) Addl. Rs.20.00 has been charged on pit-head price of ROM coal for supply of slack coal. (Col. 5)
2) Addl. Rs.180.00 has been charged on pit-head price of ROM coal for supply of steam coal. (Col. 4)
3)# Where the top size is being limited to any maximum limit within the range 200 mm - 250 mm through manual facilities or mechanical means a charge of
Rs.39.00 per Te has been levied in addition to the price applicable for ROM coal. (Col.6)
4)# Where the top size is being limited to 100 mm through manual facilities or mechanical means a charge of Rs.61.00 per Te has been levied in addition to the
price applicable for ROM coal.(Col.7)
5)# Where the top size is being limited to 50 mm through manual facilities or mechanical means a charge @ Rs.77.00 per Te will be levied in addition to the
price applicable for ROM coal.
6) Where coal is loaded either into Indian Railways system or into the purchaser's own system of transport through high capacity loading system with a nominal
capacity of 3500 Tes per hour or more, additional charge of Rs.20.00 per Te shall be levied for
7) Where the coal is transported beyond a distance of 3 Kms to the loading point, the coal companies shall be entitled to charge additional transport costs from
the purchaser at the following rates :
(a) For a distance of more than 3 Kms but not more than 10 Kms - Rs.44.00 per Te.
(b) For a distance of more than 10 Kms but not more than 20 Kms - Rs.77.00 per Te.
(c) In cases where coal is transported for more than 20 Kms to the loading point, transport charges will be payable on actual basis, to be borne by the
purchaser.
8) The pit-head prices fixed are exclusive of Royalty, Cess, Taxes and Levies, if any, levied by the Govt., Local Authorities or any other bodies of Excise &
Sales Tax from time to time.
9) The prices given in the notification are either F.O.R. or F.O.B. as the case may be. Surface Transportation Charges, where applicable, would be levied extra.
10) The prices do not apply to coal sold for export.
11) For undertaking special sizing or beneficiation of coal, additional charges as may be negotiated between the purchaser and the producer may be realized
over and above the pit-head prices.
12) Any other charges as are being presently levied by MCL over and above those being notified by CIL shall continue to be levied.
13) Cental excise duty with Education Cess @6.18% leviable on basic price, sizing charge,SED,Royalty, rapid loading charge and surface transporting charge
wef 17.03.2012
14) TCS @ 1% on gross coal value w.e.f 01.07.2012 to considered in addition to the above derive values whereever applicable.
