Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Essay Contest


DEADLINE: October 17, 2014
AWARD: 1st place - $5000; 2nd place - $3000; 3rd place - $2000; 4th place - $1000

4.

SC Association of Educational Office Professionals Marian Garrett Scholarship


DEADLINE: December 1, 2014
ELIGIBILITY: Graduating high school senior who has a C average or better in high school and a B average
in high school business courses and plans to major in business in college
APPLICATION: Fill out application form, write a one-page biographical essay, obtain two letters of
recommendation, obtain an official high school transcript

SC Teaching Fellows Program


DEADLINE:

December 1, 2014

ELIGIBILITY: Any graduating student who is a legal resident of South Carolina and who plans to major in
education in college
APPLICATION: Online only; references, counselor recommendation, official transcript, SAT/ACT scores

Horatio Alger Association Scholarship


DEADLINE: October 25, 2014
CRITERIA: high school senior planning to attend four-year college; minimum GPA 2.0
APPLICATION: Online at www.horatioalger.org/scholarships

Zeta Phi Beta Scholarship


DEADLINE: March 27, 2015 (turn in application materials to Ms. Ulmer by this date!)
CRITERIA: Minority student with 3.0 GPA or higher who has been accepted to an accredited college or
university; official transcript, SAT/ACT scores, and 3 letters of recommendation required in addition to the
application
APPLICATION: Available from Ms. Ulmer in guidance

Harry Hampton Wildlife Fund Scholarships


DEADLINE: January 31, 2015
CRITERIA: All of the scholarships available require students to be interested in majoring in an environmental
or natural resources field. The Thomason Scholarship requires students to major in print or photo journalism,
advertising, public relations, or mass communications. Check each individual scholarship offering for specific
guidelines.
