2014 Exclusive Deals Campaign for the CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum and Gold MasterCard Credit Card

General Terms and Conditions


1.

CIMB Bank Berhad (13491-P) (CIMB) 2014 Exclusive Deals Campaign (Campaign) shall commence
on 28th July, 2014 and shall end on 31st December, 2014 (both dates inclusive) (Campaign Period). CIMB
reserves the right upon giving notification to change the duration and/or the commencement and/or expiry dates
of the Campaign Period.

The terms and conditions herein shall apply to and be read together with the provisions in the CIMBs
Cardmember Terms & Conditions and the Terms and Conditions Relating to Rebate and Benefits
available under the CIMB Cash Rebate MasterCard (hereinafter collectively referred to as CIMB
Cardmember Agreements). In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and
conditions herein and those contained in the CIMB Cardmember Agreements, these terms and conditions
governing the Campaign shall prevail in so far as they apply to the CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum and Gold
MasterCard Credit Cards (CIMB Cash Rebate Cards).
Participants Eligibility
The Campaign is open exclusively to CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum and Gold MasterCard Credit Card Members
who earn no more than RM50 cash rebate per month (the Eligible Participant(s))
The Campaign Mechanics

3.

To participate in this Campaign, the Eligible Participant must via CIMB Cash Rebate Cards make transactions
via E-Commerce (online transactions), Petrol, Groceries, Standing Instructions (SI) Utility Bill Payments and SI
Mobile Bill Payments.). Every Eligible Participant is eligible for the cash rebate but will not earn more than
RM50 cash rebate per month.

Any determination by CIMB as to what types of transactions are excluded from the above shall be final and
conclusive and shall not be challenged in any manner whatsoever.

5.

Subject to the terms and conditions herein, during the Campaign Period, the Eligible Participant shall earn
Additional Cash Rebate in respect of transactions entered with the participating merchants as stated in the table
below on a strict condition that the Eligible Participant has not earned the maximum Cash Rebate of RM50 per
month. The Additional Cash Rebate that the Eligible Participant may earn is only RM30 per statement/ per
Cash Rebate card and only applicable to E-Commerce (online spend) related transactions or payments for
purchases made online:-

Subject to the terms and conditions herein, the Additional Cash Rebate is only available to the Principal and/or
Supplementary Platinum and Gold Cardmembers of the CIMB Cash Rebate Cards whose accounts are current,
valid, subsisting and who are not in default of any of the terms and conditions of the CIMB Cardmember
Agreements.

The Additional Cash Rebate earned will be credited into the Eligible Participants statement as Additional
Cash Rebate.

Subject to the terms and conditions herein, the Additional Cash Rebate earned in the respective months of
September, October, November and December, 2014 will be calculated (rounded to the nearest Malaysian
Ringgit), credited to the Eligible Participants Cash Rebate Card account and will also be reflected in the
Eligible Participants statement for each respective month during the Campaign Period. The Cash Rebate earned
shall be utilized towards payment of the outstanding balances due on the Cardmembers Cash Rebate Card
account. CIMB may however vary the date and the frequency of the crediting of the Cash Rebate at its sole and
absolute discretion by giving notification to the Cardmember. If any transactions are disputed or alleged to be
fraudulent, the Cash Rebate earned on such transactions may be reversed or cancelled by CIMB at its sole and
absolute discretion.

9. The assignment of Merchant Category Code (MCC) for each merchant is subject to classification by the
respective acquiring banks and it is the responsibility of the particular acquiring Bank to assign the correct
MCC to the relevant transaction. CIMB shall not be held responsible for any incorrect assignment of the MCC
that may result in non-posting of the Cash Rebate for retail transactions at the eligible merchants. The
Cardmember shall not be entitled to claim for any compensation against CIMB for such non-posting of the
Additional Cash Rebates due to incorrect assignment of the MCC by the respective merchants acquiring Bank.
General Terms and Conditions
10. By participating in this Campaign, the Eligible Participant(s) are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to
be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any decisions made by the Bank. The Banks decision on all
matters relating to this Campaign including the Eligible Participants entitlement of the Cash Rebate is final,
binding and conclusive.
11. In no event will the Bank be liable for any loss or damage (including without limitation, loss of income, profits
or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party
including third party) howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, in connection with
the Campaign, even if the Bank has been advised of the possibility of such damages in advance, and all such
damages are expressly excluded.
12. These terms and conditions shall prevail over any inconsistent terms or representations contained in any other
promotional materials advertising the Campaign. For further information and/or inquiries, please visit our

13. The Terms and Conditions herein, as the same may be amended from time to time and shall prevail over any
provisions or representations contained in any other promotional materials advertising the Campaign.

14. The Banks prevailing terms and conditions governing the use of the CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum and Gold
MasterCard Credit Cards shall continue to apply in addition to the Terms and Conditions herein.
15. The Bank reserves the right upon giving notification to vary (whether by addition, deletion, modification,
amendment or otherwise howsoever) (the Amendment) any of the terms and conditions herein. Notification
to the Eligible Participant in respect of the Amendment shall be effected at the Banks absolute discretion
through any one of the following means of communication, namely, by ordinary mail to the Eligible
Participants last known address or by posting a notice regarding the Amendment at each of the Banks
branches or by effecting an advertisement regarding the Amendment in one newspaper of the Banks choice, or
via CIMB Banks website or via SMS to the Eligible Participants hand phone number in the Banks record or
by any other means of notice and the Amendment shall be deemed as binding on the Accountholders as from
the date of notification of the Amendment or from such other date as may be specified by the Bank in the
notification.
16. The Bank reserves the right to suspend, cancel, terminate or withdraw the Campaign in whole or part, by giving
the Eligible Participant notification. For the avoidance of doubt, suspension, cancellation, termination or
withdrawal of the Campaign shall not entitle any of the Eligible Participants to any claim or compensation
against CIMB for any losses or damages suffered by the Eligible Participant as a direct or indirect result of the
act of suspension, cancellation or termination.
17. If there is any inconsistency(ies), conflict(s), ambiguity(ies) or discrepancy(ies) between the Bahasa Malaysia
and English version or other language version of these Terms and Conditions herein, the English version of
these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. Notwithstanding the aforementioned where request is made by the
Eligible Partcipant and noted and acknowledged by the Bank in its records that the Bahasa Malaysia version of
the terms and conditions shall govern the operation of the Accountholders account(s), then the Bahasa
Malaysia version of the terms and conditions herein shall prevail.
