Describe an event that you have attended

SWEET AND BITTER MEMORY
On 24th June 2008, Kem Majidee Staf Seksyen Johor Bahru, Johor. I was
standing in front of two superior officer ranks as Captain and P.W 1(1st Class warren
officer). I was reporting my self for the interview for army officer rank as Lieutenant at
Kolej Tentera Darat, KTD. Before I was dismiss the P.W 1 told me that this interview will
take a few days to finish. It seems that this was going to be tough! said to my self.
Lucky me, I prepare my self before I came here. Then I was taken to my barrack by a
truck. There I meet and make new friends. Night fall, me and all others candidate was
order by one of the staff to go to the great hall for a briefing about the election for
Leftenent officer intake 2009.
On the first day, we were order to divide into smaller group, each group consists
of man power between 6 to 10 personal. We where divided into a group according to
what regiments or corps did we apply before the interviews. I was grouped into
Regiment Gerak Khas known as R.G.K, this is because I apply to join the special force
regiment before the interview was held. After that, we were order to go for PTI known as
Pendidikan Jasmani Tentera, this is the tougher exercise ever and never have I
attended. The staff keeps shouting and orders us meanly to do what he orders us to do.
Front support, side roll, run, squad jumps and many more, all these are done without a
rest. The exercise is in continuously for 45 minutes non-stop. Ya Allah, every beginning
has a stop, please end this PTI soon, Amin prayed in my heart.
On the second day, I was order to go for a medical check up. A relaxing day for
me and my fallows friend, because we where still waiting for our turn to be call out for
check up. Suddenly, a doctor call out for my group after 57 groups had call out and now
we have been called to be test for fitness check up. The medical staff checks us from
top to bottom in a room where the windows are close. This is because they check us
nakedly, an event that I will never forget. Than, we follow one of the medical staff after
we dress up in a patient suit, the medical staff took us to see a dentist, followed by a
specialize doctor rank as captain to check on our private and other for any infection or
other problems or diseases that we encounter, such as high blood pressure, low blood
pressure, miss use drug, and many more. This is also an event that I will never forget.
On the second last day, we spend that time training as an army for real, from
basic marching, hand to hand combat and battlefield strategy. This is just a few scope
of what will we learn if we were chosen to continue our training at KTD. On the last day,
we gather at great hall for a closing even and followed by announcement for those who
have been chosen to continue there training. The situation from happy turn to very
stressful condition. Everyone was hoping for there name to be called, my name have

been announce, this mean I have been chosen to continue my training at KTD I was
happy. Of course there still those who did not make it, I feel sympathy for those who did
not chosen. That afternoon, we went back home. This interview is an event that I will
never forget for ever until theres still breath in me.
