Model letter for ICS to use with trained agents

Dear candidate,
We are pleased to advise you that the development of the Global Agents List is ready for launch.
The Global Agents List enables students and institutions to find international education agents who
have successfully passed and maintained their certification on our British Council agent training
programme. It expands on the existing value given to the Education UK brand as a reliable source of
agent information, helping students and institutions alike in their search for British Council trained
international education agents.
Agents will be visible on this list for 2 years from their exam date.
As you qualified in the last two years you are automatically eligible for the list.
If you want to appear on the list please can you confirm that your registration details are correct as
these are the details that will appear on the list, and confirm that you accept the terms and
conditions.
As a British Council Certified agent you can appear on the Global Agents List.

The Global Agents list is a website on which details of all agents who have been successful in
our British Council Training programmes over the last two years will be publicly available,
subject to the agents consent. This will help students, parents and institutions to find British
Council certified trained agents with whom to work. The list will be available through
BCSIEM and other British Council channels.

This means that the registration details you gave us will be visible to any student, parent or
educational institution looking for agents in your country. You may also receive some spam from
people and organisations that view the list.
NB; If you are working in a school as a counsellor it may not be appropriate for you to go on the list.
If you are an education agent or consultant it is appropriate for your details to appear on the list.
