second collection for the Sick and Retired Clergy Fund.
THANK YOU to Fr Andy and all parishioners who bought Christmas Cards last weekend at Our Lady
of Peace for the St Gilberts Mission Project. They raised 171. 78. Many thanks again.
DECEASED There are a number of Funerals arranged for the next two weeks. Please pray for the
repose of their souls.
Peter Greene RIP who died recently, his Requiem Mass will be at Our Lady of Peace on Thursday,
20th November at 11.45pm followed by cremation at Slough Crematorium.
Edward Kinrade RIP who died recently, his Funeral Service will be at Slough Crematorium on
Thursday, 20th November at 2.00pm.
Bernard McNeany RIP, his funeral service will be at Amersham Crematorium on Friday, 21st
November at 1.45pm.
Pat Brouder RIP, who died last week, Pats body will be received into Our Lady of Peace Church on
Friday, 21st November at 6.30pm, and his Requiem Mass will be on Saturday, 22nd November at
1.00pm, followed by burial at Datchet Cemetery.
Paul Balakrishnan RIP, who died last week, his Funeral Service will be at Amersham Crematorium
on Friday, 28th November at 11.30am.
May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

Morning Prayer is prayed before every weekday Mass and the Rosary is prayed after
Mass: all are welcome to join us
FR BRIAN GODDEN Now that Fr Brian Goddens headstone is up, there will be a special blessing of
his grave on Saturday 22nd November at 2.00pm in Slough Cemetery. Mgr Sen Healy will be
coming to represent the Diocese. If you do not know where the grave is please meet in the carpark
at 1.45pm.
ST ANDREWS are collecting money for a votive candle stand. If you can spare some change
please put it in the jar at the back of the Church. Many thanks.
BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE As in previous years, the Book of Remembrance will be kept in the Blessed
Sacrament Chapel during November.

HOLY SOULS ENVELOPES These are now available in the Church porches. Please write the
names of your dear ones and put in the envelope with your offering. The envelopes can be returned
with the usual collection or put them through the letter box at the Presbytery. Your dear ones will be
remembered at all the Masses for the Holy Souls offered during November.
PARISH MASS BOOKS We start to use Volume 1 of the new Mass books for Year B from the
weekend of 29th 30th November First Sunday of Advent. As with Year A and Year C, books if you
would like to donate 1.95 for one of these books, or 7.95 for the large print books, please feel
free to do so, and we will enter into the book a dedication for your intention. Just put into an
envelope the offering and the name(s) you wish inscribed in the book(s) and hand to Yvonne: for a
deceased person please add 'RIP' to the name or names; for someone alive, please add 'Intention'.
COME AND SEE Are you thinking of becoming a Catholic? A new course
for anyone thinking of joining the Catholic Church has started, the course will run
on Thursdays, from 7.30pm-8.45pm in the Presbytery. Please contact Fr Andy for
more information either after Mass or on 01628 605764.
THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION will be conferred by Bishop Peter NEXT
year on Tuesday, 23rd June 2015 at 7.30pm. If any young person from Year 8
onwards would like to receive Confirmation next year, then please will they
themselves write to Fr Andy as soon as possible to request to receive this
Sacrament and to join the course. All applications need to be in by Friday, 20th
December please.
DATES FOR YOUR DIARIES
FORTY HOURS ADORATION OF BLESSED SACRAMENT on 20th/21st/22nd November at Our
Lady of Peace in thanksgiving to Christ the King for 2014 and for new blessings on 2015. Opening
Mass on Thursday, 20th November at 3.00pm, Mass on Friday, 21st at 7.30pm and Closing Mass
on Saturday, 22nd November at 7.00am followed by Early Morning breakfast. All welcome to join this

CHURCH CLEANING will be on Saturday, 22nd November at 9.00am. Please try and spare an hour
to help.
HOLY REDEEMER CAFOD GROUP invite you to a Christmas Party on Friday, 28th November from
8.00pm. A night of music and dancing with their very own Elvis, in Slough Irish Club. Admission by

ADVENT RETREAT Given by lfred Agius, Scripture Scholar & Theology Lecturer, on Saturday, 29th
November from 10.00am to 2.00pm at Holy Family Church, Langley. Please bring packed lunch,

ST ANDREW'S DAY There will be a joint Ecumenical service at St Andrew's Church on Monday, 1st
December at 7.00pm. All welcome, with a bring and share buffet afterwards.
ADVENT DAY OF PRAYER to prepare for Christmas, on Saturday, 6th December from 9.30am to
5.00pm at Holy Redeemer Church, Slough, speaker is Fr David Larkin.. Please bring packed lunch,

ORGAN RECITAL in aid of Iraqi Christians in Need (ICIN) supporting refugee families in Northern
Iraq. In St Gregory The Great Church, 22 Park Avenue North, Northampton, NN3 2HS, on Sunday,
7th December at 4.30pm. Works by Bach, Messiaen, Schubert, Vierne and Widor, played by Carl
Bahoshy. Free admission with a retiring collection.
BURNHAM CONCERT BAND Christmas Special at St Anthonys Church, Farnham Road, Slough,
