Fiber Ribbon for Easy Separating

Rollable Ribbon
Optical fiber ribbon which optical fibers are bonded
in intervals. The fiber ribbon separation is surprisingly easy since it needs only unsticking the bonded
portion. Also, the ribbons can be rolled and the
rolled ribbons can be stranded. This new technology has realized extremely compact sized and light
weight high fiber-count cables.

fiber strength and reliability. It can be coiled into a 10 mm radius loop with 0.5 dB incurred loss at 1625 nm
and 0.2 dB incurred loss at 1550 nm-five times better bend performance than conventional single-mode
and leading Low Water Peak (LWP) Fibers.

Features and Benefits

Saves space, time, and money through improved bend performance, even for LBand wavelengths up to 1625 nm: added loss 0.5 dB (1625 nm) and 0.2 dB
(1550 nm) at 10 mm radius
Easier to install, handle, and store in space-constrained applications such as
FTTx and premises networks
Bend-optimized design for tight, low loss bends without risking fiber strength
and long-term reliability
Tight geometry for very low splice loss and improved connectorization performance with G.652.D embedded base
Fully compatible with all conventional single-mode fiber international standards
including G.657.A1 and G.652.D

QS Ribbon (Quick Separate Ribbon) is easily separated into
individual fibers with the associated tools, realizing the ease

of mid-span accessibility. This technology allows single

drop application without any influence to other fibers inside
this ribbon. The QS Ribbon will fusion splice to standard
ribbon using current technology. This ribbon is accommo-

Compact Sized & Light Weight Aerial Cables

Rollable Ribbon Cable

(SSW structure)
Rollable Ribbon Cable combines good features of ribbon
fiber and single fiber. It was developed with the concept of
easy handling (small size and light weight) and enabling
easy mid-span branching. The diameter is 30% smaller and
the weight is 50% lighter than conventional aerial cable (SZ-

Optical Fiber Cable

Slotted Core Cable for Aerial).

Features and Benefits

Smaller diameter and lighter weight due to using Rollable Ribbon and not using slot spacer
Non slotted rod structure, like center core cable, and Rollable Ribbon make the cable size smaller and save space comparing to the conventional ribbon slotted core cable
Rollable Ribbon is especially adopted to mass fusion splice as standard ribbon
It has slack between the cable and the supporting wire to reduce wind pressure

Rollable Ribbon
Rollable Ribbon has Advanced Quick Separation mechanism for single fiber separation. In Rollable Ribbon, individual fibers are partly bonded to each other in a interval.
Because of this structure, Rollable Ribbon can be separated to individual fibers much more easily than conventional

ribbon fibers with no special tool.

Features and Benefits

Rollable Ribbon can be separated to individual fibers at the end of the cables much more easily by
hand than conventional ribbon fibers.
Rollable Ribbon can be spliced to conventional ribbon fibers (standard encapsulated ribbon or QS
Ribbon) by ribbon to ribbon splice using conventional ribbon splicer
Rollable Ribbon is flexible in width direction and can be even rolled. This realizes high fiber density

ACCUMAX Distribution Cable

Optical Fiber Cable

ACCUMAX fiber optic distribution, Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LS0H) cables have the flexibility to handle virtually any
application between the building entrance and the desktop
in most environments from office to factory floor. ACCUMAX
LS0H, non lead cable is especially suitable for installation in
riser shafts, above drop ceilings, under raised floors, or in
conduits. This robust cable is available in a variety of fiber
counts and offers all the advantages associated with the
ACCUMAX cable product family including easier, faster,
and lower installation cost.

Features and Benefits

Easy handling
Faster, easier cable preparation
Cable fiber counts are 2 to 144
Various fiber types are available
Flame testing proved that ACCUMAX LS0H cables meet the IEC60332-3C and UL 1666 standards
Smoke tests prove that ACCUMAX LS0H cables meet the IEC601034-2 standard
The ACCUMAX cable design eliminates both the extra steps required to remove the jacket and
the risk of broken fibers. Each flexible riser rated jacket or unit can be ringed and slipped off with
a simple tool, no ripcords or razor blades are required
Small diameter, lightweight cables occupy less space in trays and conduits, reduce loads, and
contribute to greater efficiency during installation

Strong, Reliable Performance

Some tests performed on an EZ-Bend 4.8 mm cable subjected to
a more stringent configuration than specified by the rigorous Verizon MDU simulation test (TPR 9424), showed over 65% better loss
performance than the 0.4 dB maximum specified for TPR 9424. In
one of the tests (pictured above), the EZ-Bend cable was enduring
the sum of 40 corners, 30 staples, one 90 degree corner with 30
lbs tension, one 90 degree corner with 5 lbs tension, with a very
low loss (pictured in the power meter window above). Also pictured

MDU

V-Linx
Spool & Play Solution

Indoor (V-Linx)

The Multi Dwelling Unit (MDU) environment offers

a significant challenge to the network provider.
Ranging from older existing buildings to new constructed facilities, the cabling strategy can vary
greatly.
The new V-Linx spool and play solution introduced
by OFS is designed to address the varying conditions in MDU infrastructure.
Uniquely designed for dense, multi-floor units, the
V-Linx Solution provides components that can be configured flexibly to address the profusion of
cabling conditions within both Greenfield and Brownfield environments.
The deployment of the V-Linx solution can significantly speed installation and requires less labor to
Closure/Cabinet/Splitter

install the backbone by using our short length spool-and-play technology.

A simple set of spool-and-play hardware allows a small service team of one or two people to install
the entry distribution cabinet, route a few factory-built riser assemblies, and plug drop boxes to the
riser quickly and efficiently into the MDU.
The system is designed to minimize multiple long-run riser installations and eliminate splice time.
These hubs are designed to enable small crews to deploy entire systems in hours versus traditional large crews taking days.

Features and Benefits

Easier installation allows companies to start providing services sooner
Better cost-benefit relation due to lower overall installation costs
Lower hardware costs than traditional systems
Less manpower and resources needed for installation and maintenance
Shorter spans can minimize cable pulling issues
Preinstalled factory assembly helps reduce labor to prepare drop boxes
Integrated multiple mounting methods can simplify installation in unknown
