STEPS TO FOLLOW IN THE CIA EXAM APPLICATION AND


REGISTRATION (2013)
1. CANDIDATES will submit exam application form and supporting documents to IIAP
Certification Specialist for review.
Note: For application to be processed, all requirements shall be completed except for
the education (if student in his/her Senior Year) and work experience (if 24 months
Internal Audit or related functions/experience is not yet earned).
2. Upon receipt of notice from the IIAP Certifications Specialist that application is
approved (via email), CANDIDATES log in to the CCMS https://i7lp.integral7.com/durango/do/login?ownername=iia&usertype=candi... .CAND
IDATES access the CCMS by clicking Forgot your password link. CANDIDATES Input the
Last Name and email address on the fields (same information as what have been
written on the exam application form). Account recovery notice is sent to the email
address as registered in the exam application form.
3. CANDIDATES follow the instructions on how to activate CCMS account. Once
activated, CANDIDATES access CCMS and click on the Complete a Form link to
complete an application form. Select the application form for the certification of choice
and complete the required information.
4. Be careful to complete the application form fields accurately. CANDIDATES will need
to submit documentation to verify certain information that was reported (such as
education).
5. Read and agree to the Program Provisions and Conditions on the form. It is
important that CANDIDATES read this entire handbook before agreeing to the
conditions of the program. Read and agree to the Pricing Provisions and Conditions
before submitting the form.
6. The system will calculate the appropriate price for the submitted application and
present the CANDIDATE with a payment page that allows for payment by credit card.

.7. Upon approval of the application, CANDIDATES are eligible to register for the
exam(s) in the program to which applied for. Approval of the application is based on the
information provided in the application.
8. Login to the CCMS and click on the Complete a Form link to complete an exam
registration form. Select the appropriate form for the exam or exam part of choice.
9. The CIA exam is offered in many languages, and the CANDIDATES do not need to
select the language at the time of registration. When CANDIDATES schedule exam with
Pearson VUE, the CANDIDATES will be able to select the language of choice. Most exam
languages are available in all Pearson VUE test centers around the world.
10. Registration for an exam (part/s) will be valid for 180 days from the date that the
registration is processed at The IIA. Each registration allows the CANDIDATES to sit for
that exam one time. It is the CANDIDATES responsibility to schedule an appointment
for that exam during the 180-day period and to sit for the exam during that time.
11. CANDIDATES are strongly encouraged to pay registration fees with a credit card as
this payment method significantly shortens the processing time. Registrations
submitted through the CCMS with payment by credit card are processed immediately.
Registrations submitted by mail or submitted through the CCMS with the payment
option of check or wire transfer may take several weeks to process.
12. CANDIDATES who opt to pay with a check or a wire transfer must: (1) include
information on their form of payment during the registration process and (2) follow the
on-screen instructions regarding submission of payment. Registrations will not be
processed until payment has been received in full and processed to CANDIDATES
record.
Note:
(1) CANDIDATE must wait until membership application has been processed prior to
submitting an exam application or exam registration. If it doesnt show a CANDIDATE as
a member, please email mayet.cardenas@iia-p.org or argel.ampognan@iia-p.org or call
940-9551 at the earliest convenience.
(2) The exam fees, once submitted are non-refundable in part or whole.
(3) Authority to Test will be sent to the email address registered in CANDIDATES CCMS
account.
(4) Exam document review turn-around time will be around 15-30 working days. Exam
application, registration via CCMS and receipt of Authority to Test email may just take
48 72 hours to process (provided fees are paid in full).
