Children come for 7-14 day camps run throughout
the summer.
Childrens Camps provide social, educational, sport
activities and opportunity to the children and young
people in Mongolia to learn from each other and also
to make friends with each other.
To give the children a chance to learn English from
native speakers and to share in the cultural exchange.

The Work

Teach English and supervise the kids

Max. 120 children attend the camp each for 7 (10) days.
They live in chalets (8-16 per chalet).
None at present. They have had volunteers in the past.
The camp offers sessions to different age groups:
Session 1 = 8-10 year olds
Session 2 = 10-12 year olds
Session 3 = 12-14 year olds
Session 4 = 14-16 year olds

Please bring teaching resources. There are few if any at
the camp and you will not be able to get resources when
you arrive or in Ulaanbaatar.

9 weeks. Then you will have 3 weeks holiday/travel
time.

The camp runs straight through from mid-June to the
end of August without holidays.
This placement located location with basic
conditions. You will have little entertainment sources
except what you make for yourself. You will be
working solidly for 9 weeks with holiday/travel time
afterwards.
Teaching clothes should be smart; blouses, shirts,
trousers and skirts
Activity clothes can be casual.

Anything goes as long as it is not skimpy.


Professional Mongolians are smartly dressed in smart
trousers and shirts. It is worth bringing some smart
clothes for any government inspections or
celebrations.
Clothes best obtained overseas
You can get most clothing in Mongolia but the
quality is not as good as in the your country. Leather
boots are a good buy.
Clothes which must be brought from your Shoes if you have above average feet size in the your
country

Mongolian professionals are smartly presented.
Temperatures in summer range from 28-32 C in
daytime and 14-18 at night. The summer is the rainy
period so do pack wet weather clothing.
You probably will have to hand wash your clothes so
you may want to pack clothes that wash and dry
easily.

limited in Mongolia.

English maps and books
Sunglasses with the hours and intensity of sunshine
you will need to wear sunglasses. These can be
purchased in Ulaanbaatar. If you need prescription
sunglasses do pack your prescription in case you
loose or break your sunglasses.

Airport departure tax is T15500 (approx. 13 USD).
