The Quran: Proof

So, we have now come to a conclusion that there must be a Creator. To quickly recap, everything in
the universe is limited in some way shape or form. Therefore something unlimited outside the rules
of the universe must have created it. Imagine Dominos, where you push one over and they keep
falling one after the other. Lets say the Dominos are the sequence of the universe. The thing that
pushed it in the first place must be something that is not a Domino i.e of the universe, it must be
outside its limitations. Moving on, it stands to reason to understand this Creator would give us some
sort of information of revelation rather than leaving us to ourselves on earth. Because we would be
stuck otherwise and end up very misguided. How would we know whats right and wrong, how would
we pray, what was our purpose, we would be confused. We have many scriptures people claim to be
from God, how do we know which one is correct? First we understand there can only be One God
see Proof of God for why. So were left with the main monotheistic religions, Judaism, Christianity
and Islam. Allow me to definitively prove to you that the Quran is the word of God and Islam is the
one and only correct religion.
So over time many Prophets and Messengers have been sent to us, to deliver the guidance of God to
us. We notice a pattern with all of them, they all had miracles. What is a miracle? Something no one
can match or replicate in any way. Let us look at Prophet Ibrahim A.S (peace be upon him) his people
worshipped fire. There was a time when he was thrown into a large fire by his people but
miraculously God made it cool for him. For these people it was the trend so you could say to worship
fire and for someone to miraculously not be burned proved his Prophethood.
Lets look at Prophet Musa (Moses) A.S, the trend which was big at his peoples time was magic.
There was a time where he competed with some magicians out in the open infront of everyone, he
threw down his staff and it became a snake. Everyone was taken aback. Here is a man saying he is a
messenger of God, and he has come with an irrefutable miracle to prove his Prophethood.
Also Prophet Isa (Jesus) A.S in his time the trend which was common was Medicine. Isa A.S
performed the miracle of bringing someone back from the dead with the permission of Allah. Now of
all the medical things one could do you cant really top brining back someone from the dead.
Another miracle by the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was that he split the moon in two
actually and put it back together. another example is the famous miracle of Musa A.S splitting the
sea. Now, all of these are amazing and cool. Im sure if we were there we would believe in them and
be impressed. Maybe if we werent and our fathers or our grandfathers told us and wed believe
them, but the reality is centuries have gone by since these miracles have happened.
The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, the Last Messenger, was sent to the people as a
mercy, a guide and a warner. He came to affirm the noble prophets, who came before him. And their
belief in the oneness of Allah, and to abrogate, update and complete their messages to mankind. His
message was for all time.
There was a trend amongst the arabs in his peace be upon hims time. The arabs were famous for
their use of poetry and prose and were the masters of their Arabic language. In battles they would
recite verses of poetry, you had people similar or greater than Shakespeare in terms of their
eloquence in the language all throughout mecca. Now the Miracle that lasted for all time for all
mankind so even me and you can access and witness today, is the Quran.

But how is this a miracle? You see, the Arabs were presented a challenge, to create something like
the Quran.
Initially Allah (swt) challenged them to produce ten chapters (surahs) similar to it:
"They may say: He forged it (the Quran). Say: "Bring you then ten forged surah (chapters) like unto
it, and call whomsoever you can, other than Allah (to your help), if you speak the truth!" [TMQ
11:13]
They failed to do so. Allah (swt) then reduced the challenge to something that at first glance may
sound easy, He (swt) said:
If you are in doubt of what we have revealed to our messenger, then produce one chapter like it.
Call upon all your helpers, besides Allah, if you are truthful [TMQ 2:23]
The smallest chapter in the Quran, Surah al-Kauthar is only three sentences long, surely someone in
history must have matched this challenge? The Arabs at the time of Muhammad (saw) failed to do
so, although they were the best in the Arabic language. Furthermore no piece of Arabic literature
before them or after them until today has even come close to matching the language of the Quran.
The Quran was not revealed in one go as a book, it was delivered from God to the Prophet peace be
upon him by the Angel Jibrail A.S orally. It was written down later. The Prophet peace be upon him
was illiterate, and not even his staunchest enemies said he could have created it, that would be
crazy. The Arabs themselves were completely stunned and unable to replicate it. Despite their deep
understanding of it, none of them even claimed they created the Quran. It would be like me saying I
can do 100 handstand pushups and you lot would challenge me and Id feel like an idiot because im
unable to do so.
So the Prophet peace be upon him did not create it, none of the Arabs could create it, and obviously
non Arabs like us can not do it. So the only other rational conclusion is it is from God. Look, the
Quraish tribe was unable to even replicate anything like it, even 3 lines which is the shortest chapter
in the Quran, so instead of the simple act of writing a few lines meeting the criteria of the Quran,
like imagine I gave you an ABAB structure poem to write, The Quran had its own rules, so all they
had to do was meet those rules in 3 simple lines. But they completely failed. So they desperately
waged war using up all their resources and spilling their blood where they could have stopped all the
muslims by simply meeting the challenge. The opponents of Islam, are well versed in the history of
Islam. But they resort to misinterpreting Islamic teachings, discrediting Islam, or physically
oppressing Muslim. They know of the challenge in the Quran yet they ignore it or cover it up, as they
cannot match it. If indeed they were able to, they would have publicised it throughout the world,
instead on spending so much time and energy suppressing Islam in other ways. The enemies of Islam
then are the same now. Look at America, look how they treat out brothers and sisters in the muslim
lands, they slaughter us and do everything in their power to shut out the light of Islam. But you could
make every single muslim on this planet become a non muslim if you simply create 3 lines meeting
the Quran challenge but for over 1400 years NO ONE has been able to do it. There was a university
perhaps oxford which attempted to complete the challenge pooling together students and staff I
believe but they failed. You know how in English when you study great literature you look at
something like Shakespeare, when they teach Arabic in Unis they use the Quran as a source even
non muslim professors, its that good.

There are many texts available today claiming divine status from God, like the Bible of the Christians
and the Torah of the Jews etc. However, they have no proof that they have been revealed by God, if
they are not miraculous in nature then there is no reason to believe in them.
As Muslims we believe that Allah (swt) revealed different books through history such as the original
Injeel (Bible) and Torah, Allah (swt) informed us of this in the Quran this is why we believe these.
However, we have also been informed that these books have been altered and therefore the
versions that exist today are not that which was revealed by Allah (swt). Besides this, the Quran is
the final revelation from Allah (swt) which abrogates all others. So the bible and Torah have been
changed and altered so they are not authentic so we can not live by them but the Quran has not
changed even a letter since it being revealed so this proves Islam is the truth over all other religions.
Now we understand the Allah exists and the Quran is the word of God so we must live by it and act
according to it. God has sent this Quran for us. Those answers you seek in your life, that hollow
empty feeling in your heart not knowing the truth, here is the answer. And I challenge you all to
challenge me. I would like to go up to Richard dawkins or Obama and say you want to stop the
spread of Islam? 3 lines. Thats it. 3 lines.
And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then
produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah , if you should be
truthful. 2:23
But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones,
prepared for the disbelievers. 2:24
Science in the Quran is whole other topic, but briefly, it is used as a mere icing on the cake just to
further reinforce the truth of the Quran. How could something revealed 1400 years ago in a desert
hold exact details on things like the solar system, embryology, expansion of the universe and so on?

So it stands to reason upon hearing Proof of God and Proof of Quran that one should understand
that he was created to Worship God. He who ignores this message will be accounted by God himself.
So everything in The Quran, laws for all time, are always applicable and we must obey them as
Muslims and not pick and choose since we know it is the divine revelation from God. Even if it does
not make sense to us at the time as we learn all these new rules and things, we know as humans we
are limited and we have to trust in God, not out of blind following, but from rational thinking as we
have done in the last two sessions. There are so many incredible scientific miracles and no
contradictions in the Quran its hard to do it justice in a simple talk. We have barely scratched the
surface on our journey. This, is it, the truth, the reality. It might scare you, it might excite you, but
this is undeniably the Word of God.
