Description of Course
This course will develop your skills as a professional web designer. It will focus on developing a web site using Macromedia
Dreamweaver and Flash animation.

Required Texts
Materials will be made available in class or via the web site.

Course Requirements / Evaluation Criteria


During the course, there will be 5 graded evaluations:
• Midterm – Tests website development proficiency using the DreamWeaver tool (25%).
• Final – Tests web animation proficiency using the Flash tool (20%).
• Individual Home Page – Develop an individual profession website, about yourself with your portfolio (25%).
• Group Home Page – working in small groups, develop a website for a small business (as selected by groups) (20%).
• Effort (10%).

Notes:
Changes to this syllabus can be made at the discretion of the instructor. These changes will be available in writing distributed
during class.

Grading
Grades are assigned as follows:
A- to A+ 90 – 100%
B- to B+ 80 – 89%
C- to C+ 70 – 79%
D- to D+ 60 – 69%
F below 60%

Other Information

Incomplete Grades
Be especially aware that to obtain an incomplete, a student must have completed 70% of the coursework and must have a reasonable
expectation of completing the course in the specified time period. Both the student and the instructor must sign the incomplete form.
Students should be aware that failure to complete the course on time will result in the conversion of an I to an F.

academic honesty, including cheating, plagiarism, collusion, and falsifying academic records.
